- Dr. Daniel G. Straka graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame and was inducted into the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society. He then received his medical degree from the University of Toledo, College of Medicine, where he graduated top 5 in his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his Internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Straka then moved to Nashville, Tennessee to complete his ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt Eye Institute. After residency, he completed a very competitive 2-year ASOPRS sponsored fellowship in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery directed by Drs. Kenneth Cahill, Jill Foster, and Cameron Nabavi. Dr. Straka has extensive training in the areas of cosmetic facial surgery including upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), endoscopic brow/forehead lift, facelift, and laser resurfacing techniques to reduce facial wrinkles. As a complement to his surgical interventions, he performs many non-invasive procedures including neurotoxin injections (Botox, Xeomin, Dysport), dermal and facial fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, Sculptra, Belotero), hair restoration with platelet rich plasma, microneedling, and Kybella, the only FDA approved injectable to help reduce neck fullness. In addition, he specializes in the medical and surgical management of many conditions affecting the eyelids, eye socket (orbit), and tear ducts in both adults and children. These include droopy eyelids (ptosis), upper and lower eyelid malposition (ectropion, entropion, retraction), eyelid or periocular skin cancers, orbital tumors and fractures, blocked tear ducts, congenital eyelid malformations, and thyroid eye disease. Dr. Straka is board certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), and the Ohio Ophthalmological Society.

I can't believe what a difference it has made for me. The dark circles and lines have nearly vanished! He takes his time with you, discusses the treatments in detail, and delivers on results.

He was extremely thorough and took his time during my consultation and explained everything in detail. Surgery went smoothly and I love my new eyes! He's the best!

I was a littler nervous at first but he immediately put me at ease. Provided by Doctor.comI am so incredibly happy with my experience with Dr. Straka! I travel all the way from Cleveland for his expertise in filler and laser. He has completely rejuvenated my appearance in a natural way with his artistry. I have had filler to my cheeks, under eyes, upper eyelids and eyebrow area as well as my temples. He also did laser resurfacing for my skin. I have been extremely pleased with how everything turned out. The 2 hour drive from Cleveland has been well worth it!

Provided by Doctor.comI spent a lot of time researching who to see for treatment of my lower eyelids and aging face. I went to different places and gathered multiple opinions. However, it was clear to me after seeing Dr. Straka that he was clearly the most knowledgeable and skilled physician I saw. He discussed a number of treatment options for the eye area and other parts of my face and went over the pros and cons of each. I felt very comfortable moving forward with a lower eyelid blepharoplasty for udner eye bags and laser resurfacing to the eyelids and face. I am so glad I did because I couldn't be happier with how I look. Don't waste your time going anywhere else, he's the best!
