- Dr. Daniel G. Straka graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame and was inducted into the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society. He then received his medical degree from the University of Toledo, College of Medicine, where he graduated top 5 in his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his Internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Straka then moved to Nashville, Tennessee to complete his ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt Eye Institute. After residency, he completed a very competitive 2-year ASOPRS sponsored fellowship in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery directed by Drs. Kenneth Cahill, Jill Foster, and Cameron Nabavi. Dr. Straka has extensive training in the areas of cosmetic facial surgery including upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), endoscopic brow/forehead lift, facelift, and laser resurfacing techniques to reduce facial wrinkles. As a complement to his surgical interventions, he performs many non-invasive procedures including neurotoxin injections (Botox, Xeomin, Dysport), dermal and facial fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, Sculptra, Belotero), hair restoration with platelet rich plasma, microneedling, and Kybella, the only FDA approved injectable to help reduce neck fullness. In addition, he specializes in the medical and surgical management of many conditions affecting the eyelids, eye socket (orbit), and tear ducts in both adults and children. These include droopy eyelids (ptosis), upper and lower eyelid malposition (ectropion, entropion, retraction), eyelid or periocular skin cancers, orbital tumors and fractures, blocked tear ducts, congenital eyelid malformations, and thyroid eye disease. Dr. Straka is board certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), and the Ohio Ophthalmological Society.

He was wonderful to talk to and explained everything in ways I could understand. I had my eyelids done and my brows lifted and the results are wonderful. I wish I had done it sooner! I highly recommend Dr. Straka. He is a very kind and skilled doctor that takes his time to listen to your concerns and makes sure to address them.

Provided by Doctor.comI could not be happier with my experience with Dr. Straka. I was starting to show some baldness and I decided to see Dr. Straka to perform PRP injections in my hair. I was unsure on how effective the injections would be, but I could not be more happy with the results. Just after one injection I saw improvements and by the end of the series my hair looked like it did 5 years ago. I would strongly recommend Dr. Straka and the PRP injections to any male looking to thicken their hair!

Provided by Doctor.comI highly recommend Dr. Straka and let me explain why. I had surgery to reduce bags and wrinkles with alser around my eyes. I was very nervous about having this done so I took my time and did plenty of research before choosing a surgeon. He has expertise in both eyelid and facial cosmetic surgery which is unique and in my opinion the ideal combination. I was very impressed by his results but also by his calm, informative, and down to earth demeanor. I felt cared for from start to finish and am very happy with how everything healed. It's so nice looking at myself every morning in the mirror and not having to apply so much makeup to hide my dark circles! If you've been considering having this surgery done go see him!

We discussed a number of treatments and so far I have been so impressed. I had laser resurfacing to my face and it has dramatically improved the wrinkles and lines in the eyelids, around my mouth, and cheeks, and even my forehead. Can't wait to have my other surgeries!

Provided by Doctor.comI was tired of getting botox and filler injections for lines around my mouth and eyes without really ever seeing great results. I finally decided to do something about it and found Dr. Straka. I had laser resurfacing done for the wrinkles on my face, especially around my eyes and mouth. I certainly had some recovery time but now I have healed beautifully. I am so happy with how things turned out! My skin is much smoother and brighter appearing and I don't have to get filler injections anymore! He and his office get my highest recommendation!
