- Dr. Daniel G. Straka graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame and was inducted into the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society. He then received his medical degree from the University of Toledo, College of Medicine, where he graduated top 5 in his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his Internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Straka then moved to Nashville, Tennessee to complete his ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt Eye Institute. After residency, he completed a very competitive 2-year ASOPRS sponsored fellowship in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery directed by Drs. Kenneth Cahill, Jill Foster, and Cameron Nabavi. Dr. Straka has extensive training in the areas of cosmetic facial surgery including upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), endoscopic brow/forehead lift, facelift, and laser resurfacing techniques to reduce facial wrinkles. As a complement to his surgical interventions, he performs many non-invasive procedures including neurotoxin injections (Botox, Xeomin, Dysport), dermal and facial fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, Sculptra, Belotero), hair restoration with platelet rich plasma, microneedling, and Kybella, the only FDA approved injectable to help reduce neck fullness. In addition, he specializes in the medical and surgical management of many conditions affecting the eyelids, eye socket (orbit), and tear ducts in both adults and children. These include droopy eyelids (ptosis), upper and lower eyelid malposition (ectropion, entropion, retraction), eyelid or periocular skin cancers, orbital tumors and fractures, blocked tear ducts, congenital eyelid malformations, and thyroid eye disease. Dr. Straka is board certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), and the Ohio Ophthalmological Society.

Provided by Doctor.comI had cosmetic surgery by a different doctor and I was very upset about my results. I developed weakness of one eyebrow, swelling and over filling above my eyes from fat injections and changes in the position of my eyelids. Dr. Straka has been a life saver for me. He put my fears at rest from the very beginning and he made me feel comfortable and that there was hope to restore me back to the way I looked before surgery. He did surgery and some injections to reverse what was previously done and for the first time in years I look and feel like myself again. I am so incredibly thankful for his skill and expertise. He has truly changed my life for the better.

I've been getting botox, facial lasers, filler and microneedling just to name a few. He also put me on a great combination of skincare products. I couldn't be happier with how I look. I'm aging in reverse! I trust him completely!

He did the brow and forehead lift through hidden incisions so I have no scars and a very natural and wonderful result. Highly recommend him and his staff who were so friendly throughout the entire process!

Provided by Doctor.comI had liposuction for some fat in my neck that has bothered me for a long time. We discussed options for surgery and he thought a face and neck lift would be best in addition to liposuction. After discussing this more I didn't feel ready for a full face lift so we did just the liposuction. I see a definite improvement in my neck and it was done in the office under local anesthesia which made the process much easier. I am very happy!

Provided by Doctor.comI finally did what I've been wanting to do for so long! I have been bothered by sagging eyelids, under eye bags, and wrinkles for a long time. I didn't know who to see or what to do about it. My dermatologist recommended Dr. Straka so I made an appointment. He went over a number of treatment options, both surgical and non-surgical. I wanted surgery because it would give me the best, most natural and long lasting results. I had my upper and lower eyelids lifted, a cheek lift (or midface lift as he called it) and then laser resurfacing for my skin. I am blown away by the results! I am so happy I had this done. I look and feel like a whole new person! Thank you Dr. Straka for your skill, wonderful bedside manner, and kindness. I highly recommend him!

STRAKA WAS SO KIND AND CARING AND HE IS SERIOUSLY A PERFECTIONIST, TO SAY THE LEAST, FROM THE FIRST TIME I MEET HIM I KNEW HE WAS THE ONE I WANTED TO TRUST TO DO MY PROCEDURES. I HAD AN UPPER/LOWER BLEPHAROPLASTY AND ALSO A DEEP LASER RESURFACING AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH MY RESULTS! I had the upper and lower eyelid bags removed with laser to soften the wrinkles and it's amazing how much better I look. He is a very kind and considerate doctor and has incredible talent.
