- Dr. Daniel G. Straka graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame and was inducted into the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society. He then received his medical degree from the University of Toledo, College of Medicine, where he graduated top 5 in his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his Internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Straka then moved to Nashville, Tennessee to complete his ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt Eye Institute. After residency, he completed a very competitive 2-year ASOPRS sponsored fellowship in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery directed by Drs. Kenneth Cahill, Jill Foster, and Cameron Nabavi. Dr. Straka has extensive training in the areas of cosmetic facial surgery including upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), endoscopic brow/forehead lift, facelift, and laser resurfacing techniques to reduce facial wrinkles. As a complement to his surgical interventions, he performs many non-invasive procedures including neurotoxin injections (Botox, Xeomin, Dysport), dermal and facial fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, Sculptra, Belotero), hair restoration with platelet rich plasma, microneedling, and Kybella, the only FDA approved injectable to help reduce neck fullness. In addition, he specializes in the medical and surgical management of many conditions affecting the eyelids, eye socket (orbit), and tear ducts in both adults and children. These include droopy eyelids (ptosis), upper and lower eyelid malposition (ectropion, entropion, retraction), eyelid or periocular skin cancers, orbital tumors and fractures, blocked tear ducts, congenital eyelid malformations, and thyroid eye disease. Dr. Straka is board certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), and the Ohio Ophthalmological Society.

Provided by Doctor.comI wouldn't go anywhere else for my botox and filler. I feel comfortable and at ease when get my treatments with Dr. Straka. I get the natural results I want every time I see him. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment with him!

Provided by Doctor.comI had orbital decompression surgery by Dr. Straka on both eyes for bulging, prominent eyes. This has been a problem I have dealt with for many years as a result of Graves disease. I have recovered completely from surgery and I cannot express how happy I am to finally look like myself again. The surgery gave me my eyes back again, they don't look bulged anymore and they just feel so much better. I am forever thankful for Dr. Straka, his kindness and amazing skill in giving me back my confidence.

Provided by Doctor.comThe results from my recent botox and filler treatment with Dr. Straka exceeded my expectations! We worked on decreasing wrinkles in my forehead and around my eyes as well as adding volume under my eyes, cheeks, and around my mouth. After some of the swelling subsided the results have been stunning! High marks for Dr. Straka!

Provided by Doctor.comI saw a number of doctors in consultation regarding cosmetic surgery. No one took their time and explained things as thoroughly and clearly as Dr. Straka. He did a brow lift, upper and lower eyelid lift, as well as laser resurfacing for my skin. I am thrilled with my results. There was certainly some recovery time but it was well worth it. He is a kind, friendly, and trustworthy surgeon and I recommend him to my friends and family. When I'm ready for my facelift he'll be my go to guy.

Provided by Doctor.comVery happy with my experience seeing Dr. Straka for my hair. We settled on a plan to use some medications, supplements, and PRP injections to help maintain and regrow some of my thinning hair. I have definitely seen an improvement and I greatly appreciate his help and kindness throughout the process. He's a great doctor, easy to talk to, and I feel very comfortable with him.

He set clear expectations and made sure to specifically address all of my concerns in an honest and understandable way. Most importantly I couldn't be happier with how my skin looks and feels.

He did restylane filler injections to my cheeks, under eyes, and lips as well as botox for my forehead and around my eyes. It looks so natural and the dark circles around my eyes are gone and I have a much younger looking face. I was very pleased with my experience and will be going back for sure! I have told all of my friends to see him!
