I had a great experience with First National Moving and Storage when I moved from Atlanta to Hallandale earlier this month! Marie was great on the customer service side, answering all of my questions promptly and kindly, and following up with me without being pushy or obnoxious.
Alex and his crew were excellent. They showed up on time, ready to work. They wrapped our furniture efficiently, and took great care with everything. They were conscientious of the time, and very communicative throughout the move. They checked in about where furniture and boxes should all be placed, and helped us add felt pads to our furniture so we wouldn't scratch up the nice hardwood floors in the new place! Mary in dispatch assisted whenever I needed to know where my truck was. I will definitely consider using them again for our future moves.

This was the worst move of our lives! Run away, do not even think about using this company! This company was extremely disrespectful, communicated erroneous information when they chose to communicate at all which was very limited, outright lied to us on more than six occasions, ended up charging us over $8,500 to move one 27 foot truck from North Carolina to Florida did not show up on the agreed-upon date and did not deliver our possessions on the agreed-upon time and date, and broke over $1,500 worth of our items. The original estimate had been $4,200. Their claim was that our boxes were larger than what was expected. Absolutely ridiculous . Our biggest issue was that we had initially been promised that only the 27-foot truck would be arriving at our house. We have a very winding turn before our house and I knew anything bigger than a 27-foot truck could not get through. This was part of the basis upon which I hired the company after talking with their sales rep Michael A.
The morning of the move someone unknown to me calls from Miami asking directions so he can bring his 18-wheeler to my house! I ran around the neighborhood with my camera at the request of First National Moving and Storage taking pictures and trying to see if there was a different entrance or another way in. I did find one through a nearby horse farm who gave approval for the truck to come through. However, when the driver came he said absolutely not. To add insult to injury, the company then charged us a shuttle fee of more than $800 while I drove the driver to the U-Haul to get the truck. It added maybe 90 minutes time maximum to the move yet they felt they should have $800 even though I was promised absolutely no shuttle. During this time, speaking with the company proved completely fruitless. Michael A. would not answer any of my concerns because suddenly he said he had to check over my file. What! His supervisor told me he had done this just the month before with another family and the company had to take it out of his pay. The supervisor said he should have known better. I guess we all will now know better than to hire this company. It has been 3 months since I filed the claim and they will not return calls and I cannot get ahold of anybody. I see their rating has been removed from Better Business Bureau and they are actually on a warning and an alert. They had also promised that our things would not be moved from a 27-foot truck to any other truck. Obviously this was another lie resulting in many of our items being completely smashed to pieces. Many items of furniture and more than half my kitchenware was destroyed, which have been collected for years with special china and cookware. In allowing the claim they only assume responsibility for the individual part of a piece of furniture's weight that has been damaged. However, I can't even get a hold of the company and they are way past their deadline for settling my claim. I will be taking them to court next and I will be filing a report with the Department of Transportation, which the driver himself recommended. It was a very traumatic experience and I actually was so stressed out over this I became sick for several weeks afterward.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I have never had a worse experience with any individual or company in my life. If you don’t read the rest of this review, it can be summarized as follows: First National Moving and Storage is a complete scam of a company. They will seem very professional and available at first, but once they have your money they will harder to reach than Queen Elizabeth. Expect everything they promise you in the beginning to be a lie, including cost, delivery date, and condition of your goods. I have spent over 10 weeks without my belongings – and most of that without any communication from the company on where they were.

When I recently called, to get an update, 5 weeks after my delivery date, they were shocked to hear that I still hadn't gotten my things and told me that it would be arriving in 1-2 days. Unfortunately I was never given advanced notice of this and had made plans to be out of town across country. I had to burden my coworker with being available. When they called and told me they were "at my property" I had my friend go over to the house. At this point, I asked if the 18 wheeler had access. "Definitely," they said. Would I need to pay the no access for 18-wheeler fee? "Definitely not," they said. 3.5 hours later they were still "going in from another direction." When my friend had been there for over 4 hours, I got a call saying it would be another half hour. Unfortunately he had to go to work and needed to leave. When they did finally actually arrive, they went back on their word, and said I did need to pay the $300 truck rental/shuttle fee as there was no 18-wheeler access, making it clear that they were lying previously when they said they were at my property, just going in another entrance.

All lies. My actual review would be much longer if there were no word limit, this is literally only the tip of the iceberg.

The crew that moved my daughters apartment to storage were an amazing team of you men. They took great care of her belongings and had a positive and courteous disposition. It was extremely hot but they were efficient, smiling and very professional. I would use First National Moving and Storage and specifically this crew on my next move. I could not have asked for three more hard working, pleasant young men to work with.

The guys were hard workers and very friendly. They treated our belongings like they were their own. They even offered to move an existing piece of heavy furniture that was in the garage into the house for us. AND they kept within my budget!!! I would definitely use them again!

The movers were absolutely fantastic. They made me feel as if it was a privilege to move my household and was even fun. I expected them to do a great job and keep my furniture damage free. They did that plus so much more. I am grateful for their hard work and upbeat attitudes.

The 2 men that moved us were focused on getting the job done without incident and that is what they accomplished. They were pleasant yet professional. They met a challenge of moving a large item through a small door with determination and resolve and they were successful. They put us at ease and for that we say thank you!
