I can't say enough about Dr. Fixler, Alicia and Happy Endings In-Home Pet Euthanasia.
Mic was not just a family pet, he was truly our friend and our baby boy. We were heart-broken when he was diagnosed with aggressive, incurable cancer at the age of 11 years. We did our best to make his final months happy. He got lots of cuddles, moist dog food, fresh steaks, and anything else we could do to make him happy. He did his best to act normal. As time passed, it became clear he was in increasing pain.
Having Dr. Fixler and Alicia come to our home was such a blessing. Mic was able to pass away in a warm, comfortable environment surrounded by his family in the hoome he loved. I still cry when I think about losing him but I know we did the right thing. Dr. Fixler and Alicia were very patient and comforting. They helped make Mic's last minutes bearable for him and for us.
Thank you so much for everything you do.
My Sierra was a rescue, and the funny thing is I would say she rescued me more than I did her. At the age of 13 1/2 her tumors and cancer started to get the best of her and I was forced to make the decision to let her rest. Alicia and Dr. Fixler are the ONLY option in town for a pet owner making this decision. Their compassion and dedication to the pet AND the owner make their service invaluable. Much love and respect for Happy Endings Euthanasia.
Dr. Fixler and his wife helped us so much during a very difficult time in our lives. Our beloved Lola was our baby. She was sick throughout the second half of her life with diabetes, but managed to be the most loving and amazing dog that we have ever owned. When she suddenly fell ill we contacted Dr. Fixler for his in-home euthanasia service. His calm demeanor and his wife's caring words made the process of putting our Lola to sleep so much easier. She fell asleep on her favorite bed, looking into the setting sun of the backyard. We miss her. Thank you Dr. Fixler for helping us.
No one likes to make the difficult decision of putting their beloved dog down but when our precious Bailey was not eating, we knew it was time. Thankfully, Dr. Fixler and his wife were empathetic and professional. It was so much more personal to say good bye in our own backyard, in Bailey's own space. Very peaceful for her - no stress of traveling to the vet hospital or the coldness of the environment. I really wish we had known about this service with our other dog. I would highly recommend their services .
The most difficult decision to make is the time to say 'goodbye' to your beloved pet. My darling Palace Dog Kuma was 15 years old and sadly I had to make that decision. My boyfriend found Happy Endings In-Home Pet Euthanasia service. It was such a relief to find not only a service that could come to my own home so that Kuma would not be stressed out going to the vets office but to find such wonderful, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable professionals was more than I could hope for. They went above and beyond by looking up my pet's name Kuma and came to my home with that knowledge. It was such a personal touch.
They helped make him feel comfortable and helped walk me through the process. I didn't think I could watch him take his last breath but they eased his pain and my despair. It was such a benefit to have found Dr. Fixler and wife Alicia! My Kuma was able to stay at home where he was comfortable in his surroundings, my other dog was able to say 'goodbye' as well, something you can never do at a vet's office. Plus, we didn't have to drive home from the vet's office. There have been times when I have had to 'hang out' until I felt I could physically drive. They even offer cremation services and personally delivered his remains to me. I was so amazed and comforted to know that my darling Palace Dog was in caring and compassionate hands.
In parting, I would greatly recommend this service to anyone who has a pet. Dr. Fixler and Alicia are such wondering, caring animal lovers! Thank you again, Renee (Kuma's Mommy)
There are not enough words to express how much Dr. Fixler and his wife Alicia helped us at such a sad and difficult time. It has been a little over a month, and only now can we write about it. Our beloved Kera lived an amazing 15 and a half years, but still the decision to put her to sleep was almost unbearable. Thanks to Dr. Fixler and Alicia, Kera went to sleep peacefully, in our arms, and in her special spot in our bedroom; both of these wonderful people brought an air of peace and kindness to all of us in the midst of our pain. They did not rush anything but took all the time that she and we needed. Our last memory of her now is peaceful and loving -- which is what she deserved, for the peace and gentleness and love she gave to us for years....This is clearly a labor of love for both Alicia and Dr. Fixler, and they minister to all of the beings in the house, both animal and human. Never again will we put a dear pet to sleep in a cold veterinary office; I think now that is why I sometimes put it off in the past... We HIGHLY recommend Dr. Fixler and Alicia to anyone who is facing this difficult time. Thank you again !!! Holli and Luis
Happy Endings made a difficult decision bearable. They are kind and compassionate and I would highly recommend their service.
This week, we were faced with the loss of our little beagle buddy, Vegas, who has been with us for over 13 years. Dr. Fixler and his wife Alicia could not have been more caring and gracious to Vegas and to us. They treated Vegas as though he was one of their own pets...it was a moment of pure love that we were able to say "goodbye" to our sweet boy in such a loving environment. While our hearts were broken, we know that we did our absolute best for him and Happy Endings was part of that best. We recommend them highly and are very grateful to them for all they did. They are wonderful.
There are not enough kind words in the dictionary to express how I feel about Dr.Fixler and his wife Alicia. I rescued my EV, a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Husky mix, from AAWL when she was 6 mos. old and she was my best friend until she was 15 yrs. old, at which time she developed a severe respiratory problem. She had her first attack on March 27, 2011...the same day and at the same time that my significant other collapsed as he was attempting to get out of bed. Needless to say, I didn't know quite what to do first...comfort EV? call 911? I tried to help both of them, and after about 20 minutes, EV started to breathe normally, and I got my best human friend to the hospital, but EV had several more attacks that evening and all through the night. The following day, she seemed quite normal, but the problem persisted that evening and the next day, so I knew that something had to be done. I just could not stand to see her suffer, so I contacted Dr. Fixler. Upon his arrival, he checked EV over and assured me that I was doing the right thing. His compassion and caring manner turned an otherwise unbearable day into a day of remembering and it became more of a celebration of EV's life rather than simply the day she was put to sleep. EV passed quickly and peacefully. Two years ago, we had our Murphy, a 16 yr. old, 150 lb. Rottie/Mastiff mix, put to sleep by another local vet who also offers in-home euthanasia, and I can't believe the difference in the services performed by the two vets. Two years ago, I had to hire another service to come and pick up my Murphy and transport him to be cremated. The vet who euthanized him came to perform the service alone and said that he was just too big to handle, so I had to have another company come to take him away, but we spent a couple of hours with his body just laying on the floor. Dr.Fixler says that they always send two people, and they took my EV with them to be cremated. EV was a good sized dog, weighing 110 lbs, but Dr. Fixler and his wife were able to handle her with dignity and with ease. It made things a lot easier for me! I highly recommend Happy Endings In-Home Pet Euthanasia and Dr. Fixler and his wife Al;icia...the very special service they provide is beyond compare.
Susan, Thank you so much for your kind words. You're a wonderful person who has shown nothing but love for your pets. I know EV is in a wonderful place now. Dr. Fixler
When my brother recently passed away he left behind his best friend KJ. KJ was a blind, overweight, unhealthy, Australian Cattle Dog. We knew this dog was grieving so badly for his master that the only humane thing to do was have him put to sleep.
This was a difficult decision for our already grieving family. Dr. Fixler & Alicia were so incredibly kind and loving to KJ and our family that what could have been an almost unbearable situation instead became a service with dignity, love and respect for KJ and our family.
KJ took his last breath peacefully in the room he shared with his master. He had no pain, no anxiety, no fear. It was truly a happy ending for a dog that had given only love and companionship to my dear brother for many years.
We will be forever thankful for Dr. Fixler and the peaceful happy ending for our dear KJ.
Laurel, Thank you. KJ is in a great place now and I'm glad we were able to make his transition as peaceful as it was.
