        A little shady...

        I stopped by there today to get my transmission looked at...they immediately said it needed a rebuild, and it was gonna cost 500 dollars to take it apart and see exactly what needs to be done. 500 just to take it apart?



        Anyways I took it to another shop, and they said my transmission is fine, probably just needs a fluid change, but other than that, it's in pretty good shape overall.

        Hi, Noah the $500 is a deposit for the removal, dissaembly, and inspection of the transmission. It is not a seperate fee and is used towards the overall cost of repair. If we said it needed to be removed it is because we feel based on the diagnosis, that there is an internal issue with the transmission and there is no other way of repairing it other then opening it up and seeing what exactly is broken. You say the other shop said it "probably just needs a fluid change" which is a common thing said by people who are not transmission professionals. Those in the industry know that somtimes changing fluid in a weak transmission can actually increase the rate of failure, which is why we don't recommend doing it. I hope it all worked out for you.         Great Shop.

        I have a Dodge Ram thats known for having bad transmissions. Mine over heated a few times. Dropped it off for Alex to look at, and they were able to rebuild it, and resolve any of there other issues they have.

        Price wise, they were higher than others, but Alex seemed like a good person to work with.

        I feel like every cent was well spent.
