Horrible customer service.
Leo is a snake oil salesman to be sure, he said all the right things to get us to take his lemon off him.
Most of these reviews appear fake.
Sold us a car for 1700, had over 3000 in repairs just to pass safety, not getting into emissions or cosmetic. When I called him about this he basically told me that I was the one who made the dumb decision to trust him, and he is correct there, I did make a horrible decision trusting these people, I'll never recommend them again, and in fact will warn all I come across to stay away from this slick as grease sales crew and owner.
Below Leo claims the car windshield was marked as a Tow Away, it was not, this was not disclosed until after the car was sold, and everything had been signed.
Yes I feel stupid for not taking it to a mechanic right away, but this car was sold under false pretenses and if it was designed as a tow away it should never have been test driven and that fact clearly marked, which it was not. I do not want him to pay for the repairs, as he claims below, I merely asked for a refund on hte obvious lemon. That is it.
I'm not asking for him to pay my bills, I'm asking for him to not take advantage of unsuspecting consumers that do not know as much as he does about cars.
I'm just trying to get a reasonable value for the money paid, so far this has not happened. When I called Leo the first time I never once asked him to pay for the repairs, just to either take the car back or to refund a portion of the price because I did get legally 'got' by these people. I realize I have very little legal claim, but the car was sold under false pretenses. The first time that "tow-away," was mentioned was after all paperwork had been signed and after a test drive.
The thing has 2 busted axles something a dealer would or should inform the CX about, but instead all attention and focus was paid to the cracked washer fluid bay.
This guy bought a $1500 car that he TOWED AWAY from the dealership. He was told MULTIPLE TIMES that the car is SALVAGE TOW AWAY, the car was clearly marked SALVAGE on the windshield, he signed paper stating it was salvage, he signed paper stating he has thoroughly checked and completely satisfied with the conditions of the car, he was told and signed paper stating the car is sold AS IS, he was told and signed paper stating that he is resposible for repairs. He was told and signed paper stating that he has to TOW the car away from the dealership. Everything was done and the facts were disclosed to him and his dad in a very clear and transparent manner. His claims of innocent, lacks of responsibilty and and his expectation for the dealer to pay $3000 for repairs on a $1500 car he bought as a TOWAWAY SALVAGE AS IS,is beyond the comprehension of a normal human being. He wanted to be cheap and he got a cheap car. Now he wanted something for nothing from us just because we sold him the car. Just like asking the mailman to pay for his bills because the mailman delivered them to him. We bought and sold over 600 cars last year and we have long list of NORMAL happy customers. We will continue to fully disclose the facts and taking care of NORMAL customers.
Q: I asked them for a carfax on a car they are advertising.
A; Doesn't want to do a car fax unless you are physically there.
Q: But what if I don't want to come in until I see it is accident free?
A: Well, then get the VIN off KLS and pull it yourself?
Q: I hope that you don't say that to all your potential customers?
A: You have an attitude, and I don't want to sell you a car.
Needless to say that I never went to look at the car.
Car we bought 4 days ago is unsafe to drive. CJ's denies all responsibility, blaming the inspection place. We've opened complaints with the state for both places. Don't buy here. Not just bad cars- dangerous cars. Huge financial loss and lucky no one was hurt.
If you have purchased a bad car from CJ's- don't fall for Leo's "as-is", no pressure to buy B.S. Contact UHP and Motor Vehicle Enforcement.
I am so happy I found CJ's Premier Auto. Leo and Will are the best! They did not pressure me at all, I found what I wanted and brought my mechanic out to look at it. Once he gave the thumbs up I purchased it as is NO WARRANTY! But that is what I expected since it is a used car lot and the miles were high. They were very upfront and honest about letting me know there was no warranty. I am so happy with my car.
This Dealership is dishonest and the Manager Leo is a thief. I purchased a car I had looked over several times before finally purchasing. Leo failed to mention he had his mechanic pull parts off the car the night before he finally accepted my offer. I had already signed all the as is paperwork before noticing the missing parts. When I confronted Leo later that day he stated he was unaware of any missing parts. I went outside and spoke to his mechanic who stated Leo had requested he pull the parts to repair another vehicle on the lot the night before and couldn't believe how dishonest Leo was in his business dealings. Then after all this he has the nerve to tell stories and slander my name. I suppose when your choice in life is come to America and rip off stupid Americans or pick rice the rest of your life he chose America unfortunately for us!
As a woman I am always skeptical when I go to buy a car. I feel like dealers aren't always honest with me, or they try to take advantage of me because they believe I know nothing about cars. The staff at CJ's auto are an exception to that rule. They are very laid back. I didn't feel pressured into buying a car, and they answered all of my questions processionally. I love these guys. Would highly recommend.
Falsely advertised the mileage on the truck until we were already signing the paperwork. We saw it advertised on KSL having 119,000 miles turned out the mileage count didn't work. The title showed over 190,000 miles. Why they didn't just advertise it having the same amount of miles as shown on the title was very deceiving. I would never buy from them.
I bought a truck from these guys that I saw on KSL great truck had a problem with the rear brakes they had no problem helping me out with the repair very friendly and easy to work with
I saw an ad on KSL, went in. The car I went to see was in really good condition and the price was right. The reverse lights didn't work, but the promised to fix. They didn't pressure and came through with their promise of fixing the reverse lights. I'm giving them a 3 because the car clearly wouldn't have passed safety and IM with reverse lights faulty. The front tires were bad too. But for the price I paid, I just bought myself. Also beware of "Theft Deterrent Reg". They got me for $299.00 on that too. By the end of it, I was in a rush and just signed papers. That was my fault. Although, I felt they could have pointed it out and told me it was optional.
If you expect a used car to work flawlessly, I think you should spend the extra money and buy a brand new car. I see a lot of complaining about issues that come up after driving it off the lot. This should be expected when buying old cars, whether for a car dealer or private owner. This is going to happen.
I bought an 01 Subaru Outback from Leo about a year ago. I put almost 20k on it in a year and it worked out pretty good. He gave me a fair price and made it easy to get super good financing through a local credit union. He didn't pressure me and made it super easy. Was the car perfect? No, but it was not his fault that I wanted to buy a 12 year old car with 150k miles on it. But all the work and maintenance on it was done by me and at the end of the day, I decided to trade it for a new car after I got tired of the work that it needed being such an old car.
He sold me a solid car. If you do not have mechanical ability, buying an used car in the under 10k range is not a good idea.
I paid for the gap insurance just in case my car was totaled out, and will be getting a refund next week. Thanks Leo for the good car buying experience and the laughs.
