- Dr. Shayne Guffey brings a genuine passion for dentistry to the care he offers his patients. While he loves the technology, biology, and craftsmanship of his profession, its the interpersonal connection with each person that brings the ultimate fulfillment to his days. He believes dental care starts with truly caring about each person.Dr. Guffey thrives on the teamwork found in providing excellent customer service and dental treatment. Hes intentionally focused on building a team of diverse professionals at Mountain View Family Dental. Hes proven that the skills and care of many trained providers blend together to create an unmatched healthcare experience for his patient family.A native of Oregon, Dr. Guffey attended Oregon Health Sciences University before moving to Arizona in 2003. Hes a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. He attends numerous continuing education courses to support his mission to provide the finest dental care possible. He also believes each patient deserves the opportunity to explore options for their care, finding affordable alternatives or plans to help them enhance their wellbeing.Dr. Guffey and his wife, Michelle, have four sons, and they enjoy spending time in the outdoors. An active volunteer at his church, he also commits time to Boy Scout activities. When he gets away, he loves hiking and backpacking. A favorite memory from hiking across the West includes a trek along part of the Continental Divide in the Colorado Rockies recently. Dr. Guffey also enjoys a good book, especially by Kurt Vonnegut, Neil Gaiman, or Neal Stephenson.Dr. Guffey looks forward to discussing your concerns, interests, and goals with you. Provided by Doctor.comI was having severe contractions in my mouth going in my ear and up my head. My nerves were shattered as I've had horrible experiences with dentists and their staff. As a customer service rep, the service here was beyond SPECTACULAR!!!! I'm looking forward to coming back. They make you want to have issues with your teeth just to be here.

Provided by Doctor.comI moved an hour away and still drive to see Dr Duffey and Jill (my hygienist). I have very sensitive teeth and they are both gentle, thorough, and work with me. Best care I have ever had for my teeth.

Provided by Doctor.comI am a very skiddish dental patient because of past dental history. Everyone at Mountain View was incredibly reassuring and positive. They made me feel extremely comfortable and relaxed. As scared as I was, I left feeling very positive and comfortable!!! I look forward to having Mountain View take care of my dental needs.
