- Dr. Shayne Guffey brings a genuine passion for dentistry to the care he offers his patients. While he loves the technology, biology, and craftsmanship of his profession, its the interpersonal connection with each person that brings the ultimate fulfillment to his days. He believes dental care starts with truly caring about each person.Dr. Guffey thrives on the teamwork found in providing excellent customer service and dental treatment. Hes intentionally focused on building a team of diverse professionals at Mountain View Family Dental. Hes proven that the skills and care of many trained providers blend together to create an unmatched healthcare experience for his patient family.A native of Oregon, Dr. Guffey attended Oregon Health Sciences University before moving to Arizona in 2003. Hes a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. He attends numerous continuing education courses to support his mission to provide the finest dental care possible. He also believes each patient deserves the opportunity to explore options for their care, finding affordable alternatives or plans to help them enhance their wellbeing.Dr. Guffey and his wife, Michelle, have four sons, and they enjoy spending time in the outdoors. An active volunteer at his church, he also commits time to Boy Scout activities. When he gets away, he loves hiking and backpacking. A favorite memory from hiking across the West includes a trek along part of the Continental Divide in the Colorado Rockies recently. Dr. Guffey also enjoys a good book, especially by Kurt Vonnegut, Neil Gaiman, or Neal Stephenson.Dr. Guffey looks forward to discussing your concerns, interests, and goals with you. Provided by Doctor.comI have been a patient of Dr. Guffey for +/- 7 years, and in that time, he has consistently exceeded my expectations. He spends time to genuinely listen & understand his patients, he sets realistic expectations, and he is unbelievably meticulous in his work. He recently partnered with Dr. Brooks to help create the smile I’ve always dreamed of. Not a day has gone by since we finalized my treatment that I have not received MULTIPLE compliments about his work. I will be forever grateful!
