This place is a complete joke. I was offered $50 on a diamond appraised at $500. The people you deal with look like dirty car salesman which matches them perfectly. They prey on people they can take advantage of but not me. Stay clear of this place!

I have been in the jewelry business for 30 years and I’ve been with Chapes JPL for 5 years. Let me first state that we here at Chapes-JPL pride ourselves in serving over 18,000 satisfied customers and have done so for over 33 years. Apparently this individual was under the impression that the value of his small round diamond was worth much more than we can offer. His high expectations were influenced by an inflated value that was written on a card and was not a certified appraisal. Besides RETAIL appraisals are very inflated and this diamond was low quality. To be identified as a “dirty car salesmen” or that “we prey on people” is simply false. Our offices in Buckhead are the furthest thing from what he describes and we pride ourselves on being “The Nation’s Premier Buyer & Lender on Jewelry” as well as providing the industries lowest rates. This is a mission that we stand by and we guarantee it!
Fair and honest, they gave me more money than the first place I went. I would definitely go back to them again.
These guys do not pay top dollar, rather pennies on the dollar. Unless you are desperate, do not go here. I also had a very uncomfortable feeling as I left their "office" and the building.
I had a few pieces of gold that I found while cleaning out some drawers. I took them to these guys and they paid me on the spot. I think I got a fair price, especially since I was just gonna throw the stuff out. The man I met with was very pleasant and professional. Fast, easy transaction...would definitely recommend.
