Primary Care
We believe quality healthcare is cost effective healthcare when given in a timely manner by knowledgeable professionals. Through health care teams of pediatricians & nurse practitioners, we provide your child with excellent health care seven days a week. Our provider teams are meant to provide your family with continuity of care, so if your child’s primary care provider (PCP) is not in or available, we will work hard to schedule your child with a member of your primary team. This allows a small group of providers to form a trusting relationship with your child & family.
Emergency Care
Please be aware that some urgent care/walk in visits require insurance authorization, and should only be used if our office is closed or you are directed by our staff. Please call the Specialty Care Departmen t after urgent care/walk in visits take place to provide the above requested details, so we can document your child’s chart with the information, and our staff can help our families determine if authorization is needed to cover the visit.

Immunizations
Protecting our patients & communities through immunizations is one of the most important services that we provide at Woburn & North Andover Pediatric Associates, and each one of our providers takes great pride in doing so. After decades of rigorous study, there is abundant data that clearly illustrate the benefits of timely vaccination. Many people are surprised to hear that every single disease that we immunize against has the potential to kill or severely injure a child. However, thanks to modern medicine, most parents of this generation have never seen a child with polio, tetanus, whooping cough, or bacterial meningitis. They have never comforted a friend or family member whose child has died from one of these diseases or needed to care for a child with lifelong disability as a result of a vaccine-preventable illness.

Autism
Childhood vaccines have been proven to be very safe. Based on an extensive body of high quality research studies, we know there is no evidence of a link between autism and vaccines or vaccine additives like thimerosal. In fact, after thimerosal was removed from American vaccines between 1999 and 2001, there was no change in the frequency of autism diagnoses in this country. Vaccine side effects are generally mild and significant adverse events are exceedingly rare.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Behavioral Health
Woburn Pediatrics has integrated behavioral health available at both the Woburn and North Andover Pediatrics offices. Our behavioral health providers work closely with our clinical team to provide whole-child care in the medical home by supporting the emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs of our patients and families. Our providers meet with children and parents for brief consultations and short-term, behavior-driven interventions. As they are unable to see patients for long-term therapy, they are also available to support referrals to more intensive community-based support if needed. We are always open to discussing whether or not our services would be a good fit for your child.

Woburn & North Andover Pediatrics offers your family a health care team to provide your child with high-quality care seven days per week. We proudly participate in the Patient Centered Medical Home model of care, providing preventative health care and helping your family through times of illness and more. As your Medical Home, we strive to provide the top evidence-based care, using resources such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and Centers for Disease Control. In addition to routine well & sick care, we treat a wide variety of problems in house thereby minimizing the need for referrals to outside clinics/specialists unless absolutely warranted. We offer easy access to lab in both sites & radiology on site in Woburn.

Skin allergens can include laundry detergent, fabric softeners, soap, and synthetic materials. Hives, eczema, and contact dermatitis are symptoms of skin allergies.

Physical Therapy
Your PCP knows your child’s history and health care needs, and is best qualified to help you with specialty care. For example, the athletic trainer can “recommend” physical therapy, but the PCP needs to approve the request.
