        Dr. Colasurdo is originally from New Jersey and received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of South Florida, in their accelerated three year program. In 2011, she completed her four year optometric training from Chicagoâ??s Illinois College of Optometry. After receiving her Doctor of Optometry Degree, she chose to further her education through the residency training program offered at the Newington Veterans Affairs Hospital, which she completed in 2012. Through these experiences she is knowledgeable in the treatment and management of ocular diseases; some of which include macular degeneration, glaucoma, ocular inflammation and cataract evaluation.
