        Dr. Robert L. McDowell Jr. is a Board Certified Pediatrician and Neonatologist serving the Washington area for more than 35 years. Dr. McDowell is a life fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Medical Association. He provides comprehensive medical care for children from birth through college age, with special interests in the care and follow-up of the sick newborn, developmental variability, learning disabilities and ADHD. Dr. McDowell is a clinical professor of pediatrics at George Washington University Medical School, and an emeritus member of the board of directors of Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC. Dr. Robert McDowell was also awarded the Castle Connolly's Top Doctors™, and the Washingtonian Magazine and Virginian Magazine Top Doctor Awards.

        Great doctor with good bedside manner!

        Dr. McDowell is very knowledgeable on all issues regarding kids and their development. Also, my kids really enjoy his sense of humor and his ability to make them feel at ease during exams. He is a great doctor!

        Amazing experience with Dr. McDowell

        We have been patients of Dr. Mcdowell for 5 years and i was a patient as a child as well. He is the absolute best pediatrician and always right on. Would not trust anyone else with my children.
