The people at Tricom computer repair were very knowledgeable and helpful with my PC. I had burnt up the hard drive and another local computer place said I was not going to be able to retrieve any of my data (pictures, videos and music) of which I have been collecting for 14 yrs or as long as we have had our children. Tricom was able to save it all, even went out of their way to get my photos before the repairs were even done for my mothers funeral. The repair was top notch and the price was exactly what they had quoted me despite all the extra work needed to get the repairs done!!!
What a wonderful experience! After the Apple Store couldn't help me (my MacBook Pro is older than 5 years) I went to Tricom for assistance. My trackpad and clicker were no longer functioning, and trying a mouse instead was not effective. The two lovely ladies working the closing shift were able to give me a quote for the top case replacement, which was more than I was ready to spend. Thankfully I came back the next day and worked with the senior consultant. I told him I was looking for the cheapest possible solution, and he was able to disconnect the clicker so the mouse was free to function. He even sold me a used mouse, so the whole deal (mouse + labor) was $72.50 instead of $450!
I have absolutely no reservations about going to Tricom again for any computer issue. Lord knows I'm not going back to the Apple Store anytime soon!
I wont use this establishment again. Overcharged for a service that they did not deliver. Provided inaccurate information about system upgrade and being that they are an authorized Apple center, this is very surprising and disturbing. The office staff was not responsive, not what I'd call consumer friendly or deserving of my return business.
Called. Needed a screw for my MacBook. Told me to come in. They failed to mention they recently moved on the phone. Called again and asked for directions. Drove a long ways for nothing because they didn't have it. To top it off, they won't sell any used parts. Not even a power charger. Very disappointed. They lost a customer.
TRICOM is an Apple Authorized Sales and Service company we have been serving RI for well over 20 years. On moving we had already been at our new location for 8 months im not sure when the cutoff time is for mentioning this on the phone, but I assure you that our Website has had the correct info from the start. As far as I know we are the only Apple dealer to stock vintage parts and service computers that the Apple Store no longer will look at. As a matter of fact, the Apple Store directs customers to us for those looking for older parts that are no longer in production. Our Web store features preowned and discontinued parts. If we have the part we will sell it, if they no longer make it, im not sure what we could do. We have shelves or various screws and we stock the Apple AC Adapter for both new and vintage Macs. I'm not sure about what happened. However, if you would like discuss I can offer you a $25 Apple iTunes gift card for your trouble.
