Badger Cafe & Pub

The Badger is an incredibly unique cafe and pub. A literally vast selection of Belgian beers and other brews. Always at least one Belgian and one Maine brew on tap at all times. A recent trip to their spring food and beer dinner proved to be both delicious and enlightening. The Maine Crab Cakes were exquisite. Cooked perfectly with virtually no fillers. The Roast Lamb in the entre with Garlic Risotto was cooked perfectly although the Risotto was a little too "el dente" for this diners taste, a matter of personal taste but still delicious. The beer pairings were appropriate, but the show stopper was the Rasputin Imperial Russian Stout (from California) paired with the decadent flourless Chocolate Torte. A totally pleasing dining experience. Worth a trip to Union any time of year.
