Atkins Park Tavern

We tried this restaurant for the first time on November 7. This is located in Smyrna village square. Parking is not easily accessible.
We were there for an event. The service was slow, very slow. When we did receive our food, it was cold. We had the tossed salad and the fried green tomato with jalapeno pimento cheese topped with a small amount of greens and a tomato chutney. The salad was overdressed. The tomato was delicious, but I would have loved to see more than one slice. Dinner was brisket macaroni and cheese, and vegetarian lasagne. The food was cold. I got my macaroni and cheese replaced, but the lasagne was cold and a mess. The portion size for the macaroni and cheese was small. Not good eats.

I have always enjoyed my time at Atkins Park Tavern... the ambiance is great. It's not dark like Ormsby's (it's sister property), but it does have an old world feeling with a great patio. It's located in Smyrna Market Village which is darling in itself, so this restaurant fits in perfectly. It's one of the best local spots to check out in Smyrna!

Atkins Park has wonderful modern southern cuisine including several New Orleans inspired dishes. The service isn’t the best but the food definitely makes up for it. If you’re a big cocktail person, be prepared to give instructions to the waiter. I’d advise sticking to just beer and wine. They also host an annual crawfish festival each Spring which is a lot of fun and not to be missed.

I have had several things here and they have all been good. Service is always good and the drink prices are reasonable. It's one of the best choices in the Smyrna Market Village and nearby area.

Great service and good food at a fun place to eat. Love being greeted when we come through the door. Prices are great and portions are large.
