Schulze Eye & Surgery Center Richard Schulze, Jr, MD

I have had two eye surgeries here and been a patient for years. My appointment yesterday was more then upsetting . I was told to bring a driver as they needed to dilate my eyes. I drove two hours to get there. I signed in and gave the girl my insurance card. She informed me I needed a paper to prove insurance was paid for because BXBS had a ninety day grace period. I have always paid my bill and owed nothing to this establishment. I was never asked for this prior to my appointment or told of their new policy. I was told because I did nothave it I would have to reschedule. This all happen with a lobby full of patients, and was very embarrassing. I was more than upset so the manager carried me in her office . She wanted my sign in to BXBS and changed my sign in and password only to get a paper saying my bill was auto pay and you could clearly see had always been paid, so they saw me. The longer I sat ther the more upset I became. Even though I have recommended this establishment to many I can no longer continue to be a patient at this facility. This is not a good way to treat paying loyal patients, my record should be e ought to speak for me that they would be paid.

I am very pleased with my cataract surgery everybody was nice compassionate and I'm so grateful that I went there
