        Dr. Schiffgen received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 1978 from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. In 1980, he completed his residency at Franklin Boulevard Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Schiffgen is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He has experience in all aspects of foot care including orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, bunion, and hammertoe correction. Dr. Schiffgen has been involved in the conduct of more than 25 clinical trials and has performed thousands of bunionectomies over the past 25 years.
