Genesee Medical Group reserves several appointments per day to serve our acutely ill patients. In times of urgent need, please call us at 858-268-1111 to check for an available appointment. Please note, we are unable to accommodate unscheduled (walk-in) appointments. In the event we cannot serve your healthcare needs, please contact your health insurance's website or customer service number for a list of contracted urgent care facilities.
Flu Shots
Flu shots are coming! We will start vaccinations in September. To receive a call for scheduling when it becomes available, send a secure message via our Patient Portal to be placed on our Flu Shot call list!
Electrocardiogram
EKG is necessary for Class I exams at ages 35 through 39 then annually starting at age 40 until you no longer require a Class I certificate. Class II and Class III do not routinely require an EKG, but it may be necessary in some cases. If an EKG is required, there will be an additional $50.00 charge.
Immunizations
Effective October 01, 2021, USCIS will REQUIRE proof of completed COVID19 vaccination for all eligible applicants at the time of your medical examination. As of July 25, 2022, this includes all applicants ages 6 months and up. Ryan has extensive experience in primary care as well as emergency medicine and labor and delivery. Ryan is a participating member of the California Nurse Practitioner's Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Ryan sees patients of all ages.
Internal Medicine physicians have had extended training in the prevention, diagnosis and management of adult-onset conditions and diseases. Internal Medicine also focuses on preventive care but has an emphasis on management of chronic illnesses. Whichever service is right for you, we have providers to meet your needs.
3D images will be taken of your heart by a licensed nuclear medicine technician. This is done by injecting a radioactive medication into your vein so that it mixes with your blood and can be watched as it circulates back to your heart. The amount of radioactive exposure is less than having an x-ray taken.
