Pam Sabet, DPM, is a podiatrist who specializes in foot and ankle surgery and wound care. Podiatrists, also referred to as foot doctors or podiatric physicians, are specialists who diagnose and treat all conditions of the feet, ankles and legs. Their care also focuses on how the health of these structures impact the rest of the body. Dr. Sabets expertise includes treating foot and ankle diseases and their causes, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, and wound care for diabetic foot ulcers.As a podiatrist at an academic medical center, Dr. Sabet is active in educating medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She has led several clinical trials investigating advanced wound treatment of diabetic foot ulcerations and devices aimed towards decreasing pain associated with lower extremity injections.Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Sabet cared for patients with foot and ankle disorders at Podiatry Associates of San Diego.She completed her podiatric medical and surgical residency at Scripps Mercy Hospital and Kaiser Permanente in San Diego. Dr. Sabet earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia.
