These guys are incapable of protecting the property of individuals and business. Filing complaints of theft and embezelment is a waste of time they claim they are to busy and case overload,,,,,,,,,they have an overload because they are unable and unwilling to close a case.
The majority of BCSO (led by officers officer Carlos Riojas, and officer Rico and others) have failed to respond to our situations with sensitivity and did not act proactively with regard to our safety against the offenders, our neighbors. For years, my spouse and I were harassed by our neighbors, led by four individuals with many aliases; two are from Dominican Republic, one from Puerto Rico with his Cuban concubine. We reported them for suspicion of operating a methamphetamine lab. Officer Riojas did not follow protocol and instead informed the subjects of our complaint against them. Riojas not only put our lives at risk, he did not file the report our complaint. The guilty officers never took actions regarding our concerns and refused to conduct an impartial and thorough investigation regarding our complaints. Officers mentioned above were rude, unresponsive, and arrogant. The officers committed acts of misconduct and sets a bad example and there should be consequences for officer misconduct. We found out that they are quick to protect each other, BUT NEVER responsive to our concerns. SAPD officers are no different. Case in point, on 01/27/15, golds gym and I reported another member for harassing and assaulting me. The responding officer, Ruben Gomez, badge #1431, purposely wrote the report inaccurately (maybe he thought he could get a date from the offender at a later date). I have witnesses and provided written and verbal statements, but he (officer Gomez) decided to write it as the lies were told to him by the aggressor. I don't trust neither agencies; BCSO and SAPD. Both have records of abusing their position, in the past have demonstrated form of misconduct. You have been warned. Have your tape recorder and camera ready at all times!
The police officers are incompetent and a waste of tax payers money. For two years, I complained about our obnoxious neighbors and not one thing was done about it. Calling the officers at multiple times early in the morning on consecutive days (even when my husband was deployed) apparently wasn't enough to give the neighbors a ticket. They did, however, feel the need to ticket my husband when he politely asked them to keep their welfare kids off of our already dying lawn. Thank god we moved to a better neighborhood with better neighbors and police officers that I actually have respect for! Never again will I live in an area where I have to rely on officers from Bexar County to protect the neighborhood.
I'm very dissapointed with the time of response by the Sheriff's Dept on July 15, 2010. At approximately 2145 hrs on said date, I called 911 and reported a woman knocking at my door asking for help. She stated she and her friends were being chased by some guys and she was acting very scared. Her hair was all messed up. I told her I was calling the police and getting a weapon and as turned around, I noticed a man walking towards her and then they both took off running. I don't know if she was really in trouble or not. It could have been a plan to have me open the door and then attack and rob me. My neighbor cought the incident in her home security system. After calling 911, I waited outside my house and my neighbor called the Sheriffi's office again for the patrol's ETA and she was told it was shift change and they would send someone as soon as possible. Well, the patrol showed up at 2248, one hour after the incident. If I had been attacked or killed and maybe my neighbor and my wife, no one would had been arrested all because of shift change. I worked in Law Enforcement for over thirty years and if a call came in during shift change, any patrol on the road would be dispatched to respond. No one can tell me that all the patrols were at the station when the call came in. This is negligence.
With police brutality on a rise here in San Antonio it should come to no suprise to any residents the ridiculously levels the Bexar County Officers will stoop to to endure such pain on 1 person a person with 1 broken hand and mental instabilitys
My brother was recently arrested for a minor ticket, he went to the Bexar County Jail in San Antonio TX. Prior to his arrest he had several reconstructive surgeries to fix his had which was injured at his place or work he was left with a open wound the a bit bigger then the size of a quarter in which you could see his bone’s the reason I am telling you this is because 5 Bexar County Jail officers brutally attached my brother he only had the use of 1 hand and has mental issues 1 officer stuck his finger into my brothers open wound and destroyed the tendon My brother filled a police report on the 5 officers and was taken to the hospital by way of ambulance they are now going to amputate his fingers.
