The hype is right, this place is good

They now have an additional location which alleviates the long lines a bit at the original spot, which is nice.
I can’t get enough of the Chile Verde burrito – very tasty.

Best Mexican food in all of Utah, if you are ever in Salt Lake City stop at the red iguana for lunch or dinner, fresh authentic food, very nice staff, very clean.

I no longer live in SLC but I get to visit every other year and the red iguana is on the list every time. The chile verde will change your life.

Best Mexican food in Salt Lake City, excellent staff, wonderful variety of mole sauces, and excellent margaritas. They have been featured on Diners Drive Ins and Dives! We make sure to eat here every time we are in the area!

The best Mexi food ever

I've lived in Texas and spent many vacations in Mexico, and I have to say that the Red Iguana is the finest eating establishment I've ever been to. It has a great mix of authentic dishes (the moles) as well as what folks expect from American-style Mexican (burritos, enchiladas). Try the empanadas for dessert as well.



Be sure to show up a little early on weekends. The wait gets very long around 5:30 pm.

This is the best Miexican this side of the border. Personally I love the enchiladas rancheras.

Tacos De Pollo!

The absolute best tacos de pollo. Excellent chile verde. This place is crazy busy all the time. If you have to wait to get in it's well worth it.
