Blackthorn Pub and Pizza

so I am normally a St Louis style pizza fan! I love my provel cheese! But….Blackthorn is pretty phenomenal. This is thick crust/deep dish to the max. A small pizza will fill 4 people. It has to be seen & tried to believe me. It is excellent!

Best pizza I've ever had! Staff is always friendly. Yes there tends to be a wait so go early or be prepared to have a couple drinks while waiting.

Deep dish lovers, look no more, this is the best! Nasty and dark looking place, with heavenly, cheese-heavy, and uniquely spicy sauced pizza! The first time I went I ate just one slice, the second time just 2 1/2. The most pizza possible for the price and expect leftovers! Open at 5pm every day for a reason, and always the same employees working. Be patient these big pizzas take an hour plus to cook depending on business! This is my favorite secret in all of Saint Louis!

Thin crust O.K. However, product was short on the sausage and pepperonie. Compared to other pizzas, it had a bitter taste.

Nice place to get a Chicago style pizza in St. Louis. The sauce is very flavorful and the toppings are tasty.

I got a regular crust pizza with pepperoni, onions, and green peppers and it was the best thing I've ever eaten anywhere. The green peppers were big and crispy, just how I like it. If you order right when they open at 5, a Chicago style pizza should only take about 45 minutes.

This is the very best pizza from a local establishment in St. Louis. While on the outside it may not look like much, inside the beer is cold, the staff friendly, and the pizza delicious. The Chicago style with it's amazing crust, top notch toppings and peppery sauce is well worth the two hour wait you may experience, but thankfully you have cold beer to keep you company. I highly reccommend this place to anyone looking for a change from the chain places

The black thorn is this little hole in the wall bar...that just happens to serve the very best pizza you have ever had. The wait can easily be close to 2 hours to get a pizza. Definately get the Chicago Style. The regular thick crust pizza is good, but just doesn't compare to their Chicago Style. This pizza just screams that it is made with top quality ingrediants. Who would have ever guessed the best pizza you will ever try would come from such a place. Don't believe me? Well give it a try and I am sure you will have changed your favorite place to get pizza...I did.

Went for the first time a few weeks ago. Not from the area. Neat little neighborhood bar with pizza. Very good pizza that is.
