Planet Petopia Doggie Dude Ranch

Just picked up my puppy from here from a week long stay and everything was great. She seemed very happy and energetic, almost not wanting to leave. The pricing was great actually for such a long stay.

I was just here a couple weeks back to get my Maltese groomed, she loves getting all pampered up. I've had no problems with Nate and the rest of the staff there.

(Now Pet Planet, Fomerly Doggie Dude Ranch & A Bar A Doggie Dude Ranch) This was the worst experience I have ever had. My dogs are inside dogs and we dropped them off for a week. When we picked them up they smelled and were infested with TICKS and we had to take them to an animal hospital. We had to call numerous times before we got a hold of someone "Nate" at Pet Planet (Doggie Dude Ranch) and he told us that he was more experienced than a licenced veterinarian! Come to find out now they are listed as a "F" with the BBB. Maybe expect another complaint with them, and a call to animal control. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR ANIMALS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Nate" even went as far as saying "If you took your kid to daycare and got a cold, why take him to a doctor and not come talk to me at the daycare"!!!!!!!!! So "Nate" is also smarter than a licenced PHD?????????

I boarded my dog at the Doggie Dude Ranch for 5 nights and even paid for a shampoo the morning that I picked her up. When I picked her up, the guy mentioned that there is a "real tick problem this year..."

When I got her home, I noticed all kinds of scabs on her back, neck, and underside. Then, I shuttered when I saw a tick attached to the corner of her eye. The scabs must have been from other tick bites.

I had never seen a tick up before on any of my dogs.

After pulling that tick off, I found 6 more ticks on her then shampooed her in anti-tick shampoo.

Going into the Doggie Dude Ranch boarding, she had a dose of Advantix Flea&Tick medicine on her. She is groomed regularly and no groomer has ever mentioned a flea or tick before... I can only conclude that the Doggie Dude Ranch is infested with ticks.
