Our puppy Lucy is a very high-energy rescue that was driving us crazy. She would steal anything paper & rush to the couch to eat it. Socks would be grabbed, taken outside and she would jump around and throw them in the air. Lucy was also very aggressive in her play with my wife and would jump on her & play bite. We watched many YouTube videos on how to train her to behave, but she just wasn't responding. My wife was on the verge of saying we needed to take her back to the shelter until we found k9katelyn. We made an appointment with Tom & he came out to speak with us as well as meet Lucy. We signed the "contract" with him & training started the next week. After purchasing the recommended leather leash & collar (as opposed to our rope-type leash & nylon collar), Tom showed us each step of the way for each command and then had us try it as he watched & corrected any missteps. Each day we trained her was for 20-minutes at a time with Lucy on that week's new command and refreshing the commands from the prior weeks. Yesterday was our last training with Tom & Lucy now Heels, Sits, Downs, Stays, Shakes, Places (move to a specific spot & stay), as well as Off (to get her front paws off counters, tables, and people). My wife is much happier with Lucy & the fear of having to return her to the shelter is gone. We now have a well-behaved puppy that is fun to be with. We plan to continue working with her so we can take her to stores with us and with friends. She still gets quite excited, but is learning to control herself. His training is very structured so be mentally prepared to train when he arrives. Our experience was a very positive one, well worth the cost, and we would recommend him to anyone wanting a well behaved dog.

Tom has been amazing with our new puppy. We have learned so many great techniques and habits to establish with our guy. We can already see that he is willing to listen and obey. Tom’s methods are punishment-free so we felt comfortable using all the tools Tom taught us. His level of expertise is virtually unbeatable. Thank you!!!

So thankful We came across k9katelynn when We did. We were struggling with our puppy and as first time puppy owners we were ready to give up. Tom is very respectful, always on time, worked around my husbands hearing and my back issues, and has had so much patience with us. We reached out to Tom and K9Katelynn as there was frustration in our house as our puppy thought my husband was his playmate and would not listen to him. He is a very high energy dog and though we kept him busy (run, hikes, walks), he was still energetic and would do commands when he wanted to. He's made so much progress and the listens to my husband. Their relationship is really good and I'm grateful. It does require work-Tom isn't going to "fix" things just while he's at your home. You need to put in the time and commit to training. Would definitely recommend to someone committed to the process.

Tom helped us set up very easy and manageable routines to do with our dog. His process is detailed but works. If you follow the process, your dog will be so well behaved, and happy. He helped us create an exercise program for our adopted pit bull mix that helped him be the best dog he could be! By the first lesson he was staying off of furniture we didn’t want him on and understanding boundaries. You need to understand this is a commitment. It’s not some easy training program that you zap your dog and they do what you want. You need to put int the time and effort for his techniques to work. It’s like parenting! It’s a full time gig until they fully get it!

If you are thinking about finding someone to help you train your dog(s) Tom is a great resource. He is an excellent trainer and helps dog owners through each step to make their home life with their dogs more pleasant. Tom gave us the tools and knowledge to help us be consistent with training our dogs from week to week. I am glad we did this training and highly recommend others to hire Tom if you need help in this area.

Professional trainer, on time, calm, patient with both me and my German Shepard Dog. We learned heel, place, and how to swim - Donnor's favorite exercise now! The owner must put in the time to train. Highly recommend!
