Professionalism

I highly recommend this facility! The staff and doctors are wonderful! There might be a $30.00 and 30 min mammo out there somewhere but I truely believe that is not what you want when it comes to this exam! Way too important for fast and cheap! Go to the best and that is Women's Center for Radiology!!!! I'm a survivor and I won't go anywhere else!

Radiology
Women’s Center for Radiology uses a superior bone density (DEXA) scan which uses low-dose, fan beam technology to measure bone loss, osteoporosis and fracture risk. It is an enhanced technology that is quick, non-invasive, and painless. This scan is recommended for most patients over age 65 every two years unless you have family history of osteoporosis.
Nuclear Medicine
Dr. Curry is a diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. She completed her fellowship training at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where she was an Instructor in Radiology, an Assistant Professor of Radiology, and Chief of Nuclear Medicine services.
Mammography
During a 3D mammogram, women stand in front of the digital mammography machine and multiple images are obtained to see through the breast tissue. These 3D images allow the radiologist to ‘scroll through’ the breast tissue, like pages in a book. The radiologist is then better able to see cancers that would otherwise be hidden.
Computed Tomography
Originally from New York, Dr. Horowitz has been practicing Radiology in the Central Florida area since 1994. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Horowitz received her undergraduate degree from Emory University and her medical degree from the State University of New York. She completed her residency in Radiology at the University of Texas in San Antonio and a fellowship in magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, and ultrasound at the University of Texas, Health Science Center at Houston.Dr. Horowitz taught at the University of Texas as an Assistant Professor of Radiology before relocating to Central Florida.
