BMC (Building Materials and Construction Services)

I am not a contractor but I decided to get some quotes for materials when I finished my basement and found that BMC was able to provide almost everything I needed at very competitive prices. The materials met my expectations and the service was exceptional. I will return when I build my shed.

I went to BMC and bought 3 slab doors, I had brought the 3 old interior doors with me. The man who measured the old doors for height and width should also have measured the door knob and hinge placements. I really think that the these placements were standard. Then instead of buying slab doors with which I had to pay extra to get these things milled in I could have bought a door that already came with them. Just because the man did not take the extra 2 or 3 minutes to measure them, I went to another company to get the millwork done sooner. I had to have them right away. I trusted that the man at BMC would had chosen good doors for me. WRONG! Once I got to where the millwork was being done, I discovered that one of the doors had a long crack with a footprint in the middle of the door. If I took the door back then he would not be able to do the mill work until another day. I ended up with a door with a crack that I paid full price for. The old doors were each standard size

Bad customer service and bad lumber. I waited for 45 minutes to get lumber (they told me 10 minutes) and never got an apology. I needed 2x4s to frame my basement. Out of 140 I will have to scrap 40 of them as unuseable. Don't go here. Go to Burton Lumber.
