Over the last 25 years, practis has built a reputation for custom design and quality client service, earning numerous awards for design excellence. Practis's body of work includes single-family residential, commercial, institutional, adaptive reuse, and historic renovation projects. Now in its second generation, the studio is led by Architects Tracie Ashe and Julie Babin. The firm is based in New Orleans, Louisiana, but is also licensed in Alabama, New Jersey, and Mississippi. Practis is certified as a DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise), SBE (Small Business Enterprise), and SLDBE (State and Local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise)
