Horrible, Horrible experience

10 weeks after ordering furniture with 6-8 week delivery time, I am still without my furniture. They gave me a new delivery date of 5/7/11 which increased it to 15 weeks... I only have to wait 5 more weeks before thay can maybe have something for me.



I ordered furniture on 1/22/11 with a delivery date of 3/18/11. When 3/18/11 came and went, I called customer service on 3/24/11 to inquire about delivery. I was told that it was 3 weeks delayed and that they should receive it at their distribution center on 3/26/11. I asked why I was not informed on this earlier and the only response back was that 'I should have been contacted'. When I insisted that no one called or emailed me about the delay, he again said that 'I should have been contacted'. Since they had my $199 non refundable deposit on a $1,075 couch, I guess Macys no longer cared.



3/26 comes and goes so on 3/29/11 I called Macys Moorestown and talked to Larry, my furniture sales person about my order. He was the sales person that sold me the couch and he again confirmed that it was schedule to be delivery to the distribution center on 3/26/11. 3 days have passed since they received it at Macys distribution center so why don't they know where it is or when I am going to receive it? I am told that since we are only couple days beyond the delivery date, it is not a problem. It has 6-8 week delivery time so we are not that late. SERIOUSLY??? I have guests who arrived on 3/28/11 but we have no couch... yeah... couple of days and no delivery date.



I called back and asked to speak with the office manager. She was very nice and sympathetic to my situation. Since she was going to be out tomorrow, she would email the store manager and the furniture manager about it. She was embarrassed about my situation and about Macys.



2 more days pass before I hear from the furniture department manager. So on 3/31/11 (10 weeks since I placed this order) he tells me that the manufacturer is out of the fabric I wanted and will not be able to fulfill the order until 5/7/11. REALLY??? 15 weeks to delivery a couch to me? Where are you making this? Who is making this? Its not like it is coming from Japan but within USA... which is one of the reason why I bought this couch (not a lot of things are make in the USA anymore). He promised a 10 % discount for my troubles... how do I cancel this order and get by $199 deposit that you have? with the 10% discount, I am still $100 short for a couch I still do not have.



DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM MACYS! They cannot make the delivery date and they can't even call you to let you know they will be late. How long does it take for you to realize that the order is late? 2 weeks after the delivery date you realize that you do not have the furniture for delivery? Shouldn't you know earlier?



MACYS stink and their customer service knows nothing about service...

Petite department

The Petite Department at the Morestown store is located right next to the employee lunch room and always smells like the back of a restaurant. It is often nauseating no matter what time of the day I am in the department. After hesitating several times to say something to the sales person, I finally mentioned it today. She very tersely informed me that they have to eat somewhere.



May I suggest that Macy's install a ventilating system or at least close the lunch room door. Not only was I, once again, subjected to everyone's lunch aroma, but I was rudely treated by the sales person. It was a most unpleasant shopping experience.

Best place in town

It’s the best coffee by far, and the Delicious pastries that you can get. Best of all BitterSweet cafe offers a healthy alternative in there hot chocolate and smoothies
