Dental Examination
Alternative to Intraoral X-rays - for patients that are unable to tolerate x-rays taken inside the mouth, cone beam imaging affords us the opportunity to take a comfortable image in just seconds and complete your dental examination.
X-rays
At your dental hygiene visit, your dentist and hygienist will review preventive recommendations with you, including smile-healthy eating habits and brushing and flossing tips. This is especially important for children, we want to keep a close eye on baby teeth and permanent teeth in the developmental stages to help your child enjoy a healthy, pain-free smile as an adult. Dental x-rays help your dental team see underneath the gums and between the teeth to diagnose cavities or periodontal (gum) disease.
Oral Cancer Screening
If your dentist finds any evidence of tooth decay or damage to your teeth or gums, we will provide you with restorative treatment recommendations and help you consider all available options. Your dental team will also perform an oral cancer screening as part of your exam to monitor for tissue changes in the gums, tongue, cheek or lips that might be linked to this life-threatening condition.

Teeth Cleaning
We recommend that our patients see their dentist and hygienist every 3-6 months for an exam and dental cleaning. At this visit, your dentist will thoroughly examine your teeth and gums to check for early signs of tooth decay or gum disease. Visiting our office regularly helps us maintain your oral health; keeping your mouth disease-free is also good for your dental crowns.

Veneers
Dental veneers are thin custom shells that are applied to the front of teeth to improve their appearance. Highly polished porcelain and other durable restorative materials are blended using a combination of shades to create beautiful, natural-looking veneers.
Crowns
When tooth enamel is weakened by tooth decay or trauma, our dentists may recommend protecting the tooth with a dental crown. A crown covers the chewing surfaces and sides of the tooth with a highly durable metal or ceramic material.
Bridges
When teeth are missing, dental implants may offer a more appealing solution than a dental bridge, which requires drilling of surrounding teeth for support. Often in the case of a single missing tooth, an implant and crown can be placed without disturbing other teeth.
Dental Bonding

Dentures
Complete dentures are removable appliances that replace all of the teeth in an arch. In most cases, complete dentures are the last option considered. Keeping your natural teeth, whenever possible, is a better investment over a lifetime. On average, denture patients replace their dentures every 5-7 years due to changes in the jaw bone and soft tissue after extended wear.

Dental Implants
For adults, in addition to looking for cavities, we monitor the teeth and gums closely for signs of periodontal disease, and evaluate any bite stress factors such as missing teeth or jaw clenching that may be resolved with dental implants or a nightguard.

Maxillofacial Surgery
Dr. Bagheri is the Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, and serves as a clinical faculty at both the Georgia Health Sciences University and Emory University, where he is involved in resident education. He has published over 40 articles and 25 book chapters. Dr. Bagheri is an internationally recognized surgeon and is the senior editor and author of two major textbooks of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
