General Info: Stacie S. Cheney, DNP, APRN, is a family nurse practitioner with Norton Community Medical Associates – Fincastle. Stacie earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana University Southeast and then her master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Louisville School of Nursing. Stacie became a nurse practitioner to expand her nursing skills and offer a higher level of care. Her goal is to provide the highest quality of evidence-based care to all her patients. Stacie believes in treating the whole person, not just the immediate ailment, by understanding her patients’ backgrounds, families and daily lives. She strongly advocates for patient education, making sure her patients are well-informed about their health conditions, medications and what to expect during treatment. Outside of work, Stacie enjoys spending quality time with her family, including her husband, children and three beloved dogs. She loves reading a wide range of genres, from U.S. history and memoirs to mystery novels. She also is a passionate plant enthusiast, with over 150 plants in her home.
