Fishhawk Early Learning Center

We have recently left this school, as the director and teachers at fishhawk early learning said they couldn't handle my child. I would never be one to take blame away from my child, but in this circumstance I think that maybe I should've looked more at what the school was or wasn't doing and should've trusted my gut and not immediately placed the blame on my son. Let me start by saying that my son threw a few really nasty tantrums before we were contacted because they couldn't handle him one day. On that day, we picked him up from school and spent the day writing apology letters to the teachers and making a behavioral chart. We scheduled a meeting with his teachers and director for the following morning, where they acted as if they wanted to help us figure everything out and suggested we talk to his pediatrician and enroll him in tae kwon do. They also recommended we provide a journal for him for school, so that he would be held accountable for his behavior both during school and at after care. Not only did we take their advice, but we did everything they suggested by the very next day. Behavior changes don't happened over night, but we were definitely making progress. Five days later our son had another outburst....5 days later...that evening we received a call from the director asking us to find a new school for him. It is important to understand that I chose this school based on reviews, as we had been moving from another state. This is the only reason I am even writing a review...I feel like people should know another side to this school. Since being at our new school (about 2 months) we have had no issues and he has been incredibly well behaved, both at school and home. When he has had little meltdowns as all 4/5 year olds do, the school has been able to immediately transfer that energy and get him back on track.

(Teacher) I worked here for a year and left for better opportunities some where else or so I thought and now there's a change in directors and I thought I would find something better but then I realized Creative World is my home or a sense of belonging and feeling valued. I remember the first classroom I shared was an infant room where I really bonded with a special baby he would be there from 8:30 in the morning till 6:30 at night. I remember his first word , first time crawling to walking and then drinking from a sippy cup. All the dedicated training I received from a special teacher. I hope if your children go here feel like family too.
