Alarm Grid

When I was a much younger man (last century) I was actually an alarm installer and technician. So I know my way around alarms to a good degree. About 20 years ago, I left my "local" alarm company over escalating prices and really crazy prices for any sort of repair or even basic account zone modifications. I signed up with "another" company that I found online, and often worked with a technician named Sterling. I found him to be extremely competent, punctual and friendly. I enjoyed worjking with this company for a few years, and then ... one day ... POOF. Sterling was gone. Fast forward .. that company began having some serious competency issues as well .. and I went on the look for a new source of services. Low and behold, Sterling had ventured out on his own and founded ALARM GRID. I'm so happy with the support and services from this company that I could just wet myself. You won't find a more competent provider that Alarm Grid. GARNTEED. We have FIFTEEN accounts with Alarm Grid, mostly self monitored but a few with CS service. I can't imagine anyone else taking care of us as well as Sterling and AG do !!

This service is a breath of fresh air after ADT. No high pressure sales tactics. Helpful technician (Thomas) spent a whole hour walking through the ins and outs of their service. I can add whatever devices I want to the system without needing to get the company involved.... Ultimately, it was really easy to get the existing system up and working at my new home -- which was a takeover from being previously serviced by ADT. Also more affordable...

Definitely a superior business model to the competion for the regular DIYer.

I regret not changing to AlarmGrid monitoring years earlier.

I have a Vista 20P system with a cellular communicator and was told by my prior monitoring company that Total Connect was not an option and there was no way to upload the system programming that I had upgraded after initial installation.

To my surprise AlarmGrid advised all this was possible through their Gold Plan.
AlarmGrid’s responsiveness to my questions, technical expertise, business systems simplicity and simple communications made for an enjoyable transition.

AlarmGrid’s process to initiate monitoring was very efficient. Their website supported scheduling a phone appointment at my convenience to make the necessary programming changes. I was called right on time by Darrell K who was a joy to work with. Guiding another person over the phone to program a Vista 20 system seemed like a daunting task. Darrell’s excellent communication skills, in depth knowledge of the system and relaxed approach resulted in getting things done right the first time. Once communication was established he tailored the programming to AlarmGrid’s systems. We then performed a number of system tests and confirmed Total Connect was working and helped setup my notifications. I was very pleased to receive a follow-up comprehensive email outlining monitoring center procedures, phone numbers, technical support, permit requirements and billing.

My system has worked flawlessly since the change.

The customer service at Alarm Grid has been a big surprise. Each person I have talked to from the beginning has been very helpful and friendly. They understood and answered the questions I had about the components I was interested in purchasing. After my purchase I received a follow up call asking me if everything was good and if I had any more questions. The processes they have in place activation and support have really been thought through. I really like businesses that are focused on the DIYer. After working with Alarm Grid I would go any where else.

Alarm Grid helped me to switch to cellular communication so I could drop my landline (which was only used for alarm monitoring). They recommended the correct communicator, gave tech support for the installation, and activated the system. They even recommended a less expensive monitoring plan because the one I chose had features I could not use with my older system. Everyone was extremely helpful during the whole process. Excellent customer service!

These guys were awesome! I have an older system that needed communications updates. Literally 1 call to order the parts I needed and one call to bring it on line. I must say, I was the hold up in the process. These guys are on point and very helpful.

Alarm Grid is an excellent alarm service; I’ve been with them since 2015. I live in Philadelphia, MS, and I have a fine Honeywell Alarm system monitored by Alarm Grid; I love Alarm Grid!!
