Our providers offer a comprehensive plan to optimize your health prior to planning a pregnancy. This is a very important visit to the doctor before you plan your pregnancy. At this visit, we take a comprehensive personal, spousal, genetic, and family history to identify conditions that need to be corrected or addressed before starting a family. Minimally Invasive Surgery
Chances are you’ve had one or more ovarian cysts, but you never knew about it because it went away on its own. However, ovarian cysts can continue to grow and cause pain. The doctors at The Ob-Gyn Center have extensive experience successfully treating ovarian cysts, including expertise in minimally invasive surgery if it’s needed to remove a cyst. In addition to hysterectomies, the highly-trained team at The Ob-Gyn Center use the da Vinci to perform many types of surgery, including laser ablation for endometriosis, and peritoneal excision of endometriosis. In many cases, robotic surgery is best suited for the most complex surgeries.

If you don’t want to have more babies and your fibroid symptoms are severe, your doctor may recommend a hysterectomy.
Endometrial Ablation
Several medications are available to treat irregular or heavy bleeding. When medical management doesn’t help, an endometrial ablation to remove the uterine lining may be your best option. You may need surgery when the underlying cause is a condition like fibroids or endometriosis.
Laparoscopy
Laparoscopy is a way of doing surgery without making a large incision on the abdomen. This procedure is done under general anesthesia. A thin, lighted camera- known as the laparoscope- is inserted through a small incision in the belly button. The camera takes images inside your body and those images are sent to a video monitor in the operating room which guides surgeons as they operate. Additional 5 – 10 mm incisions may also be made in the lower abdomen for surgical instruments to perform the surgery.
