Dr. Lubna L Ahmad, MD

I had came in for the 2nd time in a week for a scheduled appointment. Again the same very unprofessional Mexican girl waits on me and again I leave without seeing the Dr! This time she tells me I need a referral to see the Dr! I am a patient! The Dr wants to follow up with me to check on the Nuclear Medicine I was given. I live across town and with traffic it could take 40 mins. The week before I came in for blood work and was told that No I just needed an apt with the Dr after she told me to come in for blood work! What gives! This girl really needs to get her act together! Dr Ahmad seems to be a Great Dr but her staff is going to ruin her practice! Now I don't know what I am going to do! I needed to see this Dr but I guess I can't thanks to the UN professional unknowledgeable girl who doesn't even try to have any compassion or thought for patients!

Three hours of my time for a 5-10 min conversation with the Dr is ridiculous, unfair and disrespectful to the patient. So I thought. I'll make an 8:30 appointment and avoid the usual torture of waiting. At 9:45 I walked out with a copy of my latest bloodwork and a threat from the Dr. that she would not fill my prescriptions if she didn't read them to me in person. See you later Dr. Ahmad. I'd rather go without.

Time management should always be a priority for any business or professional. That being said over a period of eight appointments I was always out the door almost two hours later. My appointments never started on time and certainly never ended on time either. The most valuable thing we have in life is our time, because it can never be given back or earned back for that matter. My other issue is Lubnas ego! Never was I looked at in my eyes as she was speaking and to make a tough situation worse! I was told not to come back because of a misunderstanding of how I should have taken my medication and logs. This Doctor truly lacks passion for what she does and compassion for people. The problem with this situation is that there are very few endocrinology specialists in Las Vegas and she knows it. That why she always comes out with the take it or leave it attitude. I would suggest find another doctor if you can.
