I have taken my cars to dealerships in the past, the service that I have recieved at dealerships still doesn't compare to the service at Stanford Automotive. I have used Stnaford several times in the past and have been very satisfied with the way they go above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Stanford Automotive.
I took my 2001 Honda Odyssey to Stanford Automotive to get an estimate on a rebuilt transmission. The other mechanic shops told me an estimate price of $3500 to $4500 and Stanford Automotive gave me an estimate of $2300 and a warranty for a year. They also cleaned my van up and delivered the van to my home. I would recommend this mechanic shop to anyone and everyone.
They deserve NO STARS!!! We were told there was an $80 per hour charge for a diagnostic test. We asked how long this would take. We were told it would take the better part of an hour. So we paid the $80 before they looked at our vehicle. They looked at our '99 Ford Expedition for about three minutes. They then told us that the whole motor needed to be replaced. We decided to get another opinion. We would like to have the $80 back. We feel that they did not do what they said they would do. Are they just money hungry!!! We did tell them, from the start, that we did not have a lot of money, but we needed to have the problem fixed. The vehicle still runs. DO NOT USE STANFORD AUTOMOTIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Expedition owner, I understand your frustration regarding our charge. Any diagnostic work completed is a standard labor hour, $80 in this case. This covers paying the technician who completes the work (gets the largest part of the labor hour), costs of equipment usually used to make the diagnosis and admisitrative work done to make record of your request. In some cases the diagnosis can be made quickly and in others it can not. I do apologize that we found the vehicle in that condition and sincerly hope that it continues to run.
