With more than 20 years of experience, Brian specializes in orthopedics and sports-related injuries. He uses manual techniques to help his patients manage pain and return to function. Brian particularly enjoys treating spine-related conditions and is certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). A golf enthusiast, he also holds a Medical Level 3 certification from the Titleist Performance Institute. This advanced training allows him to help golfers correct biomechanical limitations affecting their swing and help get them back on the course.
Arthroscopy
Research shows that Blood Flow Restriction is helpful to those suffering from osteoarthritis and patellofemoral (kneecap) pain, as well as post-surgical ACL reconstruction and knee arthroscopy patients. Current studies are also evaluating the efficacy of BFR for joint replacements, Achilles repairs, and shoulder pathologies.

She is currently studying Maitland mobilization classes and enjoys learning new hands-on, manual techniques. Amanda has taken many courses on ACL prevention and rehabilitation, running athletes, as well as the McKenzie Method. Her goal is to pursue certification in orthopedic manual therapy.

Hip Replacements. EXCEL’s physical therapists work with hip replacement patients day in and day out, giving us firsthand knowledge of the importance of physical therapy in helping post-surgical patients get back to doing the things they love. You may be surprised to learn that hip replacements are becoming more common amongst younger patients. In fact, the CDC reports that between 2000 and 2010, the number of total hip replacements tripled for people ages 55-64 and increased by a significant 205% for those in the 45-54 age group. Regardless of age, our clinicians will work with you to minimize scar tissue, regain strength, and restore mobility.

Alli developed an enthusiasm for physical therapy as a teenager, working through her recovery from several soccer-related knee injuries. The summer before her freshman year of high school, she had ACL reconstructive surgery—her first of seven knee surgeries.
