Skin Condition and Allergy Treatment
Many pets we see have had skin issues for months, or even years with itchiness, scabbing, or hair loss. Your petâ€™s veterinarian can discuss options that will help diagnose the underlying condition that is causing the skin problems. Tests may include allergy testing, looking at skin preparations under a microscope, and possibly even skin biopsies. These results will guide your petâ€™s veterinarian decide what treatment options are best for you and your pet, and what will allow the quickest resolution of your petâ€™s skin condition.
Injury Treatment
Most dogs love hydrotherapy, even breeds not considered natural swimmers. Our veterinarian-supervised staff works hand-in-paw with your pet during her swimming physical therapy in a specially-designed indoor pool. Therapy sessions are customized and carefully planned for each pet. We recommend hydrotherapy for dogs recuperating from joint surgery, back injuries, who have arthritis, or find regular exercise difficult, such as older, overweight dogs.

Arthritis Treatment
Swimming can be effectively combined with therapy laser for a treatment program of building and maintaining muscle strength and flexibility and managing pain, in post-surgical periods such as after knee (ACL) surgery and for older dogs with osteoarthritis and neurologic ailments that respond well to these modalities.
Hip Dysplasia Treatment
One of these diseases is hip dysplasia. Good breeders will test their pets before breeding them to try to minimize the disease. Also, if you know that your pets have a good chance of getting hip dysplasia as they age, you should try to keep them at a healthy weight. Obesity makes the disease much worse.

An echocardiogram is an ultrasound of the heart, which allows your petâ€™s veterinarian to measure how thick the heartâ€™s muscular walls are, how well the heart contracts, and how well the valves are working. Your petâ€™s veterinarian can also prescribe the appropriate medications after a successful diagnosis, to keep your petâ€™s heart as healthy as possible. Some symptoms of diseases of the heart may include exercise intolerance, lethargy, collapse, and difficulty breathing. It is important for your pet to see the veterinarian if your pet has any of these symptoms.

Dental disease is more than just bad breath and discolored teeth! It can cause many health issues, including heart disease, liver problems, and kidney disease.
Cancer Treatment
It is important to schedule an appointment with us so that we have time to discuss the different treatment options you have. Surgery is usually best if we are able to remove the cancerous tumor. However, it is not always possible, so we also offer chemotherapy and radiation.
