He left his nurse to do all of the intake of information and 'diagnosing' of my disc disease and desiccation. I have been a victim of this horrible and paralyzing problem for around 8 years now, and although my MRI showed significant decline in my condition, he would not prescribe me anything for pain. He is sending me to a surgeon in Little Rock - but with nothing for pain. I cannot even turn my neck to drive. He would not spend any time answering my questions... I feel like I have wasted my time and money going to him. And my Christmas is ruined.

Arthroscopy
Also called arthroscopy, the procedure is performed in a hospital or outpatient surgical facility. The type of anesthesia (local, spinal, or general) and the length of the procedure depends on the joint operated on and the complexity of the suspected problem. Arthroscopic surgery rarely takes more than an hour. Most patients who have arthroscopic surgery are released that same day; some patients stay in the hospital overnight.

A Total Joint Replacement is when an arthritic or damaged joint is removed and replaced with an artificial joint, called a prosthesis. The goal is to relieve the pain in the joint caused by the damage done to the cartilage. The pain may be so severe, a person will avoid using the joint, weakening the muscles around the joint and making it even more difficult to move the joint.

Physical Therapy

The good news is that medications can help you manage this pain, and it should be temporary.
