Teeth Cleaning
It is vital that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups, even during your orthodontic treatment. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure you receive the best possible care.

Dental Implants
My approach to orthodontics applies the latest technologies, including clear aligners (Invisalign®), mini-screw implants, self-ligating braces, and soft-tissue lasers. Orthodontics has seen some major breakthroughs in the last ten years, and I’m very passionate about staying on the leading edge of treatment technique, technology, and patient care. I regularly attend the AAO annual meetings, as well as other seminars, and work closely with a network of orthodontists to share ideas and best practices.

Oral Surgery
Most children lose all their baby teeth by age 13, and by the end of their teen years, the jaw bones will harden and stop growing. Orthodontic procedures for adults often take more time and can involve tooth extraction or oral surgery. Receiving early orthodontic treatment as a child can help prevent the need for orthodontics as an adult, leaving little to no chance of extraction or surgery in the future.
Jaw Surgery
The Forsus Fatigue Resistant Device promotes growth in adolescents, helping to eliminate excessive overbites, improve the fit of teeth, and possibly prevent the need for jaw surgery.
Maxillofacial Surgery
Surgical orthodontics, also known as orthognathic surgery, is a type of orthodontic treatment used to correct severe cases that include bad bites, jaw bone abnormalities, and malocclusion. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is one of the nine recognized dental specialties, and it focuses on treating complex craniofacial cases that involve the mouth, jaw, face, and skull. If you need surgical orthodontics, your orthodontist will work with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon to ensure that you receive the best care possible.

General Dentistry
Dr. Lekht has been creating beautiful smiles in the North Georgia area for over 10 years. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, graduating at the top of her class. After dental school, Dr. Lekht went on to complete the esteemed General Dentistry residency program at Beth Israel Medical Center.
