Do NOT go there! Firstly, hi...

Do NOT go there!

Firstly, his prices are so so. Not that great, but average. What gets you is all the additive stuff he tries to sell you.

Secondly, he is not very friendly. Maybe I caught him on several off days, but he was always harsh and short with me. I did not find him helpful or informative.

When I purchased my computer from him, he was supposed to put the Anti Virus software on there for me. To my surprise he did not. Instead of getting angry and taking my business elsewhere, I gave him a second chance and went back. He told me he was going to charge me to put the anti virus software on there, even though I was apparently already charged for it previously (and did not get it!). At this point, I really just wanted to take my computer home with me and just gave in and said FINE! So I left my computer and was told to come back. Unfortunately that week there were some family issues that led to some financial issues. I was unable to return to pick my computer up right away. I called and told him this, and asked him to just keep it there until I could make it in. I got a call a few days later from him demanding that I pick my computer up right then, that is was "in the way" and that if I did not pick it up he would "love to sell it for almost nothing to the next customer that comes in". I was in shock. I felt after all the trouble I had went through to begin with he would work with me a little more...and at least try to keep me a happy customer. Granted, it did take me longer than expected to get back in there...but I bought the computer from him...and I wouldn't be where I was had he not already put my anti virus software on there like HE said he was going to. Forgive me for thinking that you should work with your customers. Especially when you are such a small town business.

So anyways, I went in that week to get my computer and of course it WAS NOT there. He had sold it like he said. I should not have been surprised...but I wasn't sure if he was going to really do it (because I mean lets be honest, he hadn't done anything he said he was going to do for me).

So just a tip to anyone. If you plan on shopping here, get it in some type of writing or on the receipt somewhere of what you are paying for. If not, you will get ripped off and from there you will lose over $700.00 because your computer got sold for "LESS THAN NOTHING" to the next customer.

My laptop had some serious issues when I brought it in and when I got it back, it was running much better. For me it was worth the cost to have Gabe work on it. I will definately go back if I need to have any more work done. Thanks Gabe for a job well done...only wish it hadn't taken quite so long.

Gab went out of his way in helping me with my computers. He took the time to explain to me what my problems were and how to avoid them in the future. I felt that he was very friendly and patient. If anyone asks me for a reference I will definitely send them to him.

I have known Gabe for over 7 years now. And I have found him to be reliable and trustworthy. What he has offered me, given me, advised me, and helped me is nothing short of excellent. He is the best there is in this business. He even took the time to come to my residence to help me with my computer problems. Anything that that he has done for me or sold to me is top notch. I would never think of going elsewhere with my computer problems. Not only that but he has given me breaks along the way. He is a professional in his field and a good friend as well.

Netcom Inc. is an absolutely wonderful establishment. It provided me with nothing short of top-notch service. The father and son team work hand-in-hand and value the relationships they have with their customers. The one thing that a customer will walk away with when going to Netcom Inc. is results. They take the time to show people what is wrong with their computers, and how they can prevent issues from happening in the future. They do a very thorough job and strategically fix each and every computer that enters their store. All computers are given the same detail and careful analysis into assessing and fixing the problem(s). If you want the store that gives sound customer advice and charges fair prices comparable to the amount of time and effort they spend, pick Netcom Inc. Other computer repair shops fix your computer, Netcom Inc. provides customer value on top of the repairs.

Excellent

Netcom has provided nothing less than the best service. My husband and I began using Netcom last April when our old laptop hard drive crashed in the middle of writing an English paper for a PVCC class. Gabe diagnosed the issue, gave us our options and versus paying for the upgrades for a six year old laptop, we chose to go with a new one that was reasonably priced. He had all the programs transferred over promptly to the new laptop so I could complete the English paper on time. Almost a year later, our anit-virus expired and we again entrusted the work to Gabe. In the short few days without virus protection, he had to remove numerous viruses before installing the new anti-virus program along with cleaning up the computer. Gabe understood my dilemma of being an LPN student at PVCC and need to have the computer work completed promptly. My husband dropped it off Friday, it was ready Saturday and is running perfectly! Yes, you do pay $35 up front for a diagnosis of your computer issue, but that occurs at so many other businesses as well, and yes, you pay for labor costs to repair the issues, that isn't always inexpensive, but we will continue to take our computers to Netcom because we feel Gabe does a great job and is very knowledgeable!

Terrible!

I brought my computer in because the hard drive was full. He informed me he could make it run like new. $300 and some odd dollars later he said " Well I did the best I could." He aleft my itunes on the computer only to delete Quicktimes which runs Itunes therefore DELETED ALL my music (he said he would not do this). Just terrible. I could of erased everything on my own with out paying him all that money. Then to bring it hjome and have to fix it myself!

Don't Trust Them

First off, the owner charges $35 dollars just to "diagnose" your problem. The diagnosis process usually entails him trying to sell you a new computer when you do not need/want one. So, for about 20 min he tries to sell you something and then charges you $35. Last year, my laptop screen frame had broken at the base. He charged me $350 to "fix" it. Much of this cost was supposed to be him buying new replacement parts. Instead, he put on used replacement parts and within 9 months, the frame broke again because he did such a poor job fixing it.

A few months later, I had a minor glitch on the same laptop. Even though I didn't want to go back there, I didn't know of any other place around to ask for help. I tried to explain what was wrong w/ the computer and instead of listening, he again immediately tried to sell me a new computer (at a very, very overmarked price!). He also tried to sell me some "Russian anti-virus" program for over $100 and attempted to convince me to use a Linux operating system on the laptop he was trying very hard to sell me. I'm not a computer guru. I don't want to run Linux. I explained this to him, but he doesn't get it. In my experience, it seems his whole goal is to get you in the store and then confuse you if you don't know much about computers and convince you that you need way more than you do. He over charges for things and, in my opinion, he IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY. You would be much better of taking your computer and business elsewhere, even if that means driving a little out of the way.
