Testicular Cancer

Interstitial Cystitis
Medications may be advised for interstitial cystitis, an inflammation of the bladder wall sometimes called painful bladder syndrome. Examples of treatments include heparinoid compounds (heparin) and DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide), which relieve pain and inflammation.
Urinary Tract Infection
This test identifies blood or organisms that may be causing a urinary tract infection. A routine urine culture test is typically performed in the physician’s office, clinic or lab. The urine sample is tested with a treated chemical stick and examined under a microscope for the presence of bacteria or blood. Color, odor, pH levels, protein, glucose, blood and nitrate levels also are tested.

Ultrasound
The procedure takes place on a water-filled cushion atop the examination table, on which the patient lies while the surgeon uses x-rays or an ultrasound to locate the stones. Next, high-energy shock waves, called sound waves, are directed through the body and at the stones, breaking them into small pieces that can more easily flow through the urinary tract and out of the body.
MRI
For the exam, a CT technologist will have the patient lay on the table. The table will be guided into the scanning unit – a machine with a large circular opening in the center. The opening of a CT scanner is relatively large when compared with that of an MRI, and the patient’s head, arms and legs extend outside of the machine, so the patient is less likely to feel claustrophobic.

When you get services from an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, certain providers there may be out-of-network. In these cases, the most those providers may bill you is your plan’s in-network cost-sharing amount. This applies to emergency medicine, anesthesia, pathology, radiology, laboratory, neonatology, assistant surgeon, hospitalist, or intensive services. These providers can’t balance bill you and may not ask you to give up your protections not to be balance billed.

Prolapse occurs when the connective tissues or muscles within the body cavity are weak and unable to hold the vagina in place. The sacrocolpopexy can be performed on patients who have had a hysterectomy, or in conjunction with a robotic hysterectomy.
