Woodman & Eaton routinely assists clients with the administration of estates. Our team will advise Executors of estates on every step of the probate process, from the filing of the first petition with the Probate Court to the issuance of the Final Judgment Decree. We will gather asset information and prepare and file both state and federal estate tax returns. Our attorneys will be involved with the estate administration process from the very first day through the close of the administration. Also, our attorneys will work closely with the Executor to make the entire administration process as effortless and efficient as possible.
Wills
We assist both individuals and families in the creation of estate plans designed to further their personal and financial goals. We work closely with our clients to utilize lifetime strategies to help them to get the right property to the right people at the right time. We also assist our clients with estate balancing, gift-giving, and charitable planning to reduce the impact of estate taxes. Our services include the preparation of wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care proxies, and living wills, documents which are designed to dovetail with the existing financial plans and insurance coverage of our clients.
Trusts
Our focus is to understand our clients’ objectives and provide timely, relevant advice on estate planning, trust administration and estate administration.
The use of Trusts for tax planning purposes, creditor protection, avoidance of lifetime and death probate, and for the distribution of assets in accordance with our client’s goals and objectives is the centerpiece of our Estate Planning and Wealth Strategies Design. We serve as counsel to the trustees and, when requested to do so, we will serve as trustee or co-trustee. The extent of our services depends on the amount of activity required to administer the trust and the size and nature of the trust assets.
