        The Woods at Parkside, situated on over eleven acres in a quiet, residential neighborhood, successfully treats substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders using a multi-faceted approach that takes into consideration the uniqueness of each individual. The hospital is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS) and accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC). Our goal is to provide clients with the foundation necessary to sustain lasting and meaningful recovery. To accomplish this, our licensed counselors focus on identifying root issues, while engaging clients in an individualized treatment plan to promote steady growth and relapse prevention. Our dedicated staff works as a team to help each client achieve their individual goals. We work with our clients and their families every step of the way on the road to recovery. The Woods at Parkside offers a multitude of treatment programs, including detox, residential care, dual diagnosis, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient support, in order to best suit the individual needs of each client.

        The woods at parkside is a place that I will always keep near my heart!!! They introduced me to a 12 step program and helped pave the way for my recovery!!! If you really are ready and willing to get the help this place is and can be an amazing experience!!!'

        Overall

        A loved one of mine has been to parkside 4 times since 2009, most recently in December 2015. The facility, staff and program have steadily declined with each visit. I don't have enough room here to give a detailed review, so I'll do my best to give the highlights. This treatment center is for profit and money has become their only concern. The only time they upgrade anything is when they receive a donation - chairs, mattresses. Their website is false advertisement. There is absolutely no one on one counseling or recovery plan. The Drs are making a killing, spending 5 min max with a patient and charging a few hundred. The food is inedible. The heat doesn't work. The faculty doesn't care (excluding a few counselors). Good luck getting an itemized bill or a call back from anyone. The biggest problem is the employees steal personal items, that are supposed to be secured, from the patients, and the company (Parkside / Oglethorpe) just ignores you when you ask for resolution.
