Project Mainstream is the Central Ohio Transit Authority s transit service for disabled people who are unable to use the fixed-route bus service. Project Mainstream offers door-to-door service, which means riders are assisted onto the bus and to the door of their destination. Eligibility for Project Mainstream is based upon the Americans with Disabilities Act. Inability to drive a car, distance from a bus stop and age are not qualifying conditions in determining eligibility. Project Mainstream accepts trip reservations from one to seven days in advance. Same day service is available on a very limited basis.
