        Dr Matthews graduated in 1994 from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis TN. He interned with Dr Fanelli at the North Carolina Eye Center and St. Lukes Eye Clinic in Tampa FL. After graduating, he joined Vaught Eye Associates in the Conway/Myrtle Beach area treating patients with glaucoma and managing eye disease. Since 1999 Dr. Matthews has operated Southeast Mobile Eye, specializing in providing in-patient eye care to geriatric residents in skilled nursing facilities. â??In May 2003 he partnered with Dr. Pockl to open Devine Eyes, a primary eye care clinic and optical shop in Columbia, SC.
