Ms. Mary's and Pete Too

My husband and I had dinner tonight at Ms. Mary's and Pete Too. The exterior made it look as if you were walking into a dime a dozen family restaurant, but a pleasant surprise awaits within. Linen table cloths, lovely china, a red rose on each table, upscale decor. And soft music being played by a player grand piano set a serene and sophisticated mood. Our server was bubbly and attentive. The menu offered a huge variety, much of which I have never seen on a family restaurant menu....such as my stuffed olive appetizer or fruited creme grille desert. My pork chops were tender and juicy, and the mashed potatoes were real..(yes they had lumps! :) My husband loved his very lightly battered fish dinner as well. Since we visited on a Sunday we weren't able to take advantage of the most unique and intriguing part of the menu. Every day but Sunday they offer a rotating menu of ethnic dishes from around the world. I think they showcase 12 different countries or regions. We'd like to go back for Africa, or maybe German or Mediterranean , not sure, but I do know we'll go back. Soon...often...

Ms Mary's has become my favorite "go-to" restaurant! The new owners go out of their way to insure their "guests" are comfortable. The food is quite good, the wait staff are very friendly & they too make sure you are comfortable. We were quite surprised the first time we dined there how comfortable it was. The tables are tablecloth covered. There is piano music playing quietly played in the background. If you are lucky enough to dine on Friday & Saturday night, you will hear music by a pianist. This is really worth a try. You will leave feeling relaxed, calm, & satisfied. Be sure to say hello to Ms Mary!

What an absolute joy eating here! The food was very good and the staff very friendly. You will be amazed ! You will feel like your at a private exclusive dining club it's so fancy but the prices are great!! I just wish I wore a tux ;)
