- Dr. Robert Lucas was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He, his wife Dr. Heather Lucas and three children live in Cincinnati, OH. Dr. Lucas received his undergraduate degree, Medical degree and Oral and Maxillofacial surgery training at the University of Louisville. His Medical degree was received with Honors (Cum Laude). Dr. Lucas is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a lifetime member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society and was a 2011 recipient of the Fellowship Award from the Kentucky Dental Association for outstanding contributions to Dentistry. Dr. Lucas has been honored from 2008-2018 by his peers by being voted into Cincinnati Magazine’s Top Doctors and Dentists. He maintains his certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Provided by Doctor.comSaid that he would struggle with one of my tooth extractions but did a great job with it and I had no excess pain. Was a little confused with the entire recovery process and the steps involved in it. Figured it out as I went along but would have liked to have known the timeline prior. Surgery itself was amazing though!!

Provided by Doctor.comI have never had oral surgery before and was scared but my experience was uneventful. The staff made me so comfortable before surgery and afterwards. I had four upper implants and was slightly uncomfortable for about two days after surgery. Over the counter medication for pain worked just fine. I was given instructions on what to eat during the healing process and I never had any issues with meals. I highly recommend Dr. Lucas he is knowledgeable answering all of my questions and concerns and above all extremely patient and knowledgeable.
