        The first bigg's store was opened in 1984 in Eastgate, Ohio. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Minneapolis-based SUPERVALU, a food retailer and distributor. The company operates more than 10 hypermarket and food stores in Cincinnati. It employs more than 2,000 personnel. Some of bigg s stores feature domestic, floral, wine, meat and seafood departments. In addition, many of the company s stores operate baby centers that offer infant clothing and accessories, such as toys and bikes. Additionally, its stores sell cards, stationary, books, magazines, gift items, picture frames, electronics and housewares. The company s stores have garden departments that offer spring flowers, summer lawn care supplies, fall rakes, fertilizers, and colorful indoor plants for winters.

        It is so refreshing to walk in...

        It is so refreshing to walk into a grocery store that routinely has a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables that are in great shape (size, color, smell). The variety of products offered at Rempke Biggs makes shopping there fun. The deli and meat department staff is willing accomodate our needs - verifying the thickness of meat slices and slicing pre-packaged hams. In addition the staff is accessible, helpful and friendly. This store is not convenient for us to shop weekly, but we do make an effort to shop here once an month and stock up on brands not available at closer groceries.
